April 20, 2018 Dear Parents & Guardians, I am sending this second letter to you today because I promised to provide you with updates as we make important decisions that will affect your student. I have been meeting with leaders throughout the Deer Valley Unified School District, and after much consideration, I have determinded that we will not have the necessary 75% of our certified staff (teachers) reporting to school on the planned walkout day of Thursday, April 26 to safely keep our schools open. ...
