WEST WING SCHOOL NEWS!!

SCHOOL RESUMES THURSDAY, May 3^rd!!!

WW’S ANNUAL ARTSAPALOOZA!  TONIGHT!  Wednesday, May 2^nd from 5:00pm – 7:00pm in the MPR.  Come and see our talented WW artists!   Every student who has had Art Class this year will have a framed and matted piece on display.  You may purchase your child’s framed artwork!  The cost of $25 covers the matt and frame.  You may purchase it the night of the show or before.   Any artwork that wasn’t purchased will be given back to the student (without the matting or frame) to take home. 

 CHORUS PERFORMANCE:  Some of our talented students, under the direction of their music teacher, Miss McKee, will be performing during the Artsapalooza event!   

Kindergarten:  5:30pm

1^st Grade:  5:45pm

Mrs. Holly and Miss Beaudoin’s classes:  6:00pm

BAND CONCERT:  Our 7^th & 8^th grade band members will be performing tonight as well!!

FOOD TRUCKS:   AND food trucks will be on site!  DK Dogs,  Frosted Frenzy Cupcakes, Smokin Hot BBQ and Flyin Hawaiian.   Come hungry!

SCHOOL SUPPLY KITS:  Preorder your supplies, save yourself stress and surprise the teachers with supplying them exactly what they need!  Orders are due by June 8^th.   Order online at:  www.shopttkits.com  and use account #  95735.    Any shipping issues experienced last year will not happen again. 

WE NEED YOUR HELP!: Do you or someone you know work in the Medical, Engineering, Technology or Computer field?   We need these individuals on STEAM Night in May (Science Technology Engineering and Math) .  We’re looking for people in these industries to work a table during our event explaining their careers to students, parents and individuals in our community.   If you are interested please contact Allison.Davidson@DVUSD.org.  

STEAM NIGHT:  May 9th from 5:00pm – 6:30pm in our MPR.  Come and see our student displays, talk with professionals in the field of Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics and experience the hands on activities they will have available.

FUTURE FRESHMAN NIGHT AT SDOHS:   May 18^th at 5:00pm at SDOHS

-Campus tour                                              -Spring Football Game

-Meet coaching staff for all sports        -Big Man’s Competition

-BBQ Dinner

KINDER END OF YEAR PROGRAM:  May 18^th at 9:30am in our MPR.

ACCOUNTS MUST BE CLEAR:  ALL student accounts must be clear (library) or paid up (lunch room) before the last day of school.   Eighth grade:   library accounts , lunch accounts , and all uniforms must be turned in and clear in order to walk with their classmates during promotion.   Library accounts:  see Mrs. Zumstein

Uniforms:  see your coach for that sport

8^th GRADE PROMOTION DANCE:  May 11^th at 6:00pm in our MPR

8^TH GRADE PROMOTION CEREMONY:  May 23^rd  at Sandra Day O’Conner High School

Elementary Lunch - $2.60

Adults - $3.50 (includes drink)

We are open for breakfast at 8:15-8:45 a.m.
