The daughter of Ms. Gerster, a Sierra Verde 1st grade teacher and former Esperanza teacher, was involved in a serious sledding accident over winter break. Katrina, a 17 year old MRHS student, has a positive spirit; however, as a result of the accident, she has no feeling in her legs. Sierra Verde, in conjunction with Mountain Ridge High School, Esperanza Elementary, and the Glendale Fire Department will be hosting a charity event to raise money for the family during this difficult time. DVUSD - Tax Credit Donation Deadline is December 31st

The deadline to make your tax credit donation for the 2012 tax year is next Monday, December 31st. The Tax Credit reduces your tax burden to the state of Arizona, dollar for dollar. It also reduces your taxable income to the federal government, usually by 1/3 of your donation. You end up making money!
