DVUSD Around Our Schools - August 23, 2010 Deer Valley Elementary Schools Canyon Springs Canyon Springs School hosted a ribbon cutting event on Friday, August 20 to celebrate their new shade structure donated by the Anthem Lions Club. Canyon Springs was presented with a check in the amount of $6,931 by Anthem Lions Club member Kerry Freeman. DVUSD Names Deb Roets as Mountain Shadows Principal Deb Roets has been named the new principal for Mountain Shadows School, in the Deer Valley Unified School District (DVUSD), for the 2010-11 school year. The decision was announced at the May 11 Governing Board Meeting. Roets replaced Jim Pfeiffer who has been principal at Mountain Shadows since 2008 and is relocating to Washington State.
