WEST WING SCHOOL NEWS!!

 

8TH GRADE PROMOTION CEREMONY:  Early release for 8th grade ONLY is Wednesday, May 23rd.    Students will start their day in their classrooms for attendance followed by a PTSA sponsored breakfast in the MPR.  Then they will take the buses to SDOHS for promotion rehearsals.  Promotion:  May 23rd at 6:30pm  Sandra Day O’Conner High School

 

LUNCH ACCOUNTS MUST BE PAID UP / CLEAR:  ALL lunch accounts must be paid up before the last day of school.   Eighth grade:  Lunch accounts  must be clear in order to walk with their classmates during promotion.  Please send in a payment to clear your account or provide additional money for future meal purchases. Payments may be made by CASH, CHECK, or ONLINE at www.EZSchoolPay.com 

*NOTE*  a $2 convenience fee will apply when making an online payment.

 

LAST DAY OF SCHOOL:  Grades Kindergarten – 7th grades will be released at 12:05pm on Thursday, May 24th.   Have a safe and happy summer!!!

 

IMPORTANT NEWS FROM OUR NURSE: 

Dear Parents/Guardians:

   As we are winding down the year, I wanted to inform you that this is my last year at West Wing School.   I want to thank you ALL for your kindness and support the last 6 years as your school nurse.   I will always have a special place in my heart for our West Wing Community.   Thank you all.

WELCOME NEW WW FAMILIES:   Wednesday, August 1st our wonderful PTSA board members will be giving tours and answering questions about our school.  If you have neighbors who have moved in over the summer or any with small children who will be starting kindergarten please let them know about this “open house” so they can come and see our awesome campus and learn about the school in their neighborhood.

1 Night shift custodial position:  Custodian II ~ Day/Night 12 month  Start date: May 15, 2018

3- Crossing Guard positions:  2.0 hours  / 8:00am – 9:00am and 3:00pm – 4:00pm

1 Playground Monitor:  2.25 hours  /  11:00am – 1:15pm

REGISTRATION:

Hello West Wing families!

We are in the full swing of things here at WW preparing for the upcoming 2018-2019 school year! Registration for Kindergarten has started last November and we are now accepting registrations for students in grades 1-8 who live in the area. Please complete and bring your new registrations to the office as soon as possible, as we are currently pre-registering and scheduling for the Fall! You can find registration documents online at www.dvusd.org or you can stop by the office to pick up a packet. Office hours are 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Please be sure to bring in the following required documents when you come to register: birth certificate, immunizations, current utility bill and parent identification. Again, the sooner the better, so we can get everything all set before the school closes for Summer!

SCHOOL SUPPLY KITS:  Preorder your supplies, save yourself stress and surprise the teachers with supplying them exactly what they need!  Orders are due by June 8th.   Order online at:  www.shopttkits.com  and use account #  95735.    Any shipping issues experienced last year will not happen again.
