CONGRATULATIONS MRHS CHOIR:  Congratulations to our Mountain Ridge High School Choir students for receiving a Gold with Outstanding Musicianship rating at the 2023 Forum Festival, Fullerton, California! Great job on all your hard work and extraordinary performance!

NATIONAL LETTER OF INTENT:  The final NLI signing day for this school year is 4/12 at 7:00 AM.  Please see Ms. Douglas in the athletics office if you would like to participate in this event

Spirit Week is the week of March 27-31.  Remind them that “RidgeFlix” Spirit Week starts Monday, March 27^th with:

• Thursday is Episode 4:  Clueless —Skaters vs Preppy, pick a side and represent.
• Friday is Episode 5:  Friday Night Lights—Color Day

Reminder:  Spray paint/hair color/face paint is not acceptable.

Wish Week is also March 27-April 6.

• Wednesday, 3/29—Bruster’s Night, 5-9 PM, 51^st and Bell
• Thursday, 3/30— Chili’s, 11 AM – 10 PM, Lake Pleasant and Happy Valley
• Friday, 3/31—Bobby Q’s, All Day, 8501 N 27th Ave.
• Thursday, 4/6—Wear Make-A-Wish T-shirts to show support

Wish Stars will be sold for $1 all week, Wish Week T-Shirts will be sold for $10, all proceeds going to Make-A-Wish Arizona. 

SPANISH HONOR SOCIETY MEETING:  Spanish Honor Society will have their next meeting, Thursday March 30th before and after school in room C218. Check the remind for more information.

PTO MEETING:  Please join us for our next PTO meeting tonight, Wednesday, March 29 at 6:30. We will be meeting at Kneaders Bakery and Cafe located at 20630 N. 75th Ave., Glendale, 85308. We will be discussing upcoming events for the remainder of the school year and working on raffle prizes for Grad night.

GRAD NIGHT TICKETS & PTO representatives will be on campus during lunches selling Grad Night tickets on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, March 28, 29th and 30th. Tickets are $60 (cash, debit or credit) Any Senior purchasing a ticket during lunch on those three days will be entered to win $100 cash! We have some amazing prizes to give away this year at our Grad Night which will be held at the Main Event on Wednesday May 17th. 

SENIOR GRADUATION SIGNS – Be sure to order your Senior a Yard Sign. You can order one with a picture ($35) or just name ($30). Email mrhspom@gmail.com for an order form. Orders are due by April 3rd.

ATTENTION SENIORS: Final Application for the Seal of Biliteracy- ALL Seniors expecting to earn the Seal this year MUST fill out this form.  The last step in the process to earn the Seal of Biliteracy is to formally apply for your scores to be reviewed.  Seal of Biliteracy candidates must have a minimum 2.0 GPA in ELA classes, a "proficient" score or higher in an ELA exam (such as AZ Merit, ACT or SAT) and an "intermediate-mid" score or higher in a second language (ex: AAPPL, STAMP, or AP exam)  Seniors should apply even if they have not received all scores yet.  Fill out the form at this link:   https://forms.gle/EkeFMkqzMxpGvJex7  If you have any questions please come to see Mrs. Romero in C 219 or email herat lisette.romero@dvusd.org.   For more details regarding the Seal of Biliteracy, please view the presentation at this link:  https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1M921Dmdt_gvOR1xB-ZuVbMhA1i08r448mMZy2Ib_E9E/edit?usp=sharing

STAFF RECOGNITION: Is there a staff member at Mountain Ridge that you feel has gone above and beyond to help a student or is just a great representation of what it means to be a Mountain Lion? CAP & GOWN:  Attention Seniors, if you did not pick up your Cap and Gown yet, it is important that you get them as soon as possible at the Bookstore either before or after school or during lunch. 

NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY APPLICATIONS:  National Honor Society applications for the 2023-2024 school year are now open. Current sophomores and juniors with a minimum 3.8 GPA are invited to complete an application. See Ms. Sercl in room C223.

SENIOR SCHOLORSHIPS:  please turn in any scholarships you have received to Ms. Dyal in the counseling office by either emailing the award letters to sarah.dyal@dvusd.org or by dropping them off in the counseling. We want to honor you at our Senior Awards Ceremony on April 26th. The deadline to turn in scholarships is Monday, March 20th.
