Attention Seniors! Attention seniors! You must go to GradsPhotography.com to schedule an appointment to get your senior photo for the yearbook! They must be completed at Grads, not as the ID photos that are taken Monday. The deadline is November 19. Thanks!

Coca-Cola Scholars Program: Seniors, Class of 2022, Coca-cola Scholars Program application is now OPEN! Apply before October 31st, 2021

PSAT: If you are interested in the upcoming date for the PSAT. Here is the link to the registration: https://www.dvusd.org/Page/13553. The date is October 16.

FAFSA: Seniors the FAFSA will open on October 1st! If you would like to learn more about financial aid for your post-secondary plans attend the Smart Tracks Webinar on September 28th at 7:00 pm. Sign up on the counseling web page under the college planning link. All grade levels are welcomed to attend! It's never too early to start learning about financial aid.

Dance Club: Students, are you interested in joining Dance Club? If so, come to our meeting on Thursday, September 30th, 2:15-3:15 pm in the dance studio (room 130). All levels are welcome and no prior training is required. At our meeting Officers will teach a contemporary dance combination and meetings are tentatively planned for every other Thursday. We will have a new style each week. Come dance with us!

U.S. Merchant Marine Academy: US Merchant Marine Academy Alumni Association and Foundation are offering virtual admissions Q&A session for students interested in attending the United States Merchant Marine Academy (USMMA), one of the five federal service academies that include West Point, Annapolis, Air Force, and Coast Guard academies on September 28, 2021, at 6:30 pm ET. Theatre Club Meeting: The next Theatre Club meeting will be held on September 29 after school in room 114. See you there.

Senior Shirts: Seniors... the last day to pre-order your senior shirts is October 8th.

Homecoming Dance: All students... SAVE THE DATE... Yes, Boulder Creek is having a homecoming dance- Saturday, October 23rd, from 7 pm to 10 pm.

All Things E.Q. (Week of 9/27-10/1): Leadership requires team-focus above self-focus. It can be easy for students to believe school isn't the real world, and therefore they don't need to put much effort into group work now. They may think they'll step up when it matters. But skills such as cooperation, patience, effort, follow-through, and discipline don't just appear because we decided to suddenly use them – they are a lot like muscles. They become stronger with every use. These skills are ours to use because we honed and developed them over time. Group work provides the opportunity to hone these skills. You receive from a group exactly what you put into it. Regardless of what other people are bringing to the group, bring your best self. Sure, there will be those who do as little as possible but let their actions speak to their character and let your actions speak to yours. Life is not on hold until you think it matters. Life is happening right now. You make it matter.

Mountain Bike: Congratulations to the Boulder Creek Mountain Bike team on another great race in the Flagstaff area. Congrats to junior Gabe Harrelson on his first-place finish in Varsity Boys, senior Carla Aleman on her second-place finish in JV Girls, and junior Charlie McKamey on his third-place finish in JV Boys. Shout out to junior Will Scott who has broken into the top ten finishes two weeks in a row, your hard work is paying off. The whole team is excited to watch and is making great strides each race with fast laps and better results each time out. Good luck as they get ready to race in Prescott in two weeks, we are proud of you all!
