Coca-Cola Scholars Program: Seniors, Class of 2022, Coca-cola Scholars Program application is now OPEN! Apply before October 31st, 2021
Interested in Grand Canyon University: SENIORS! Are you interested in Grand Canyon University? Want to learn more? Have coffee with our admissions representative KMag at Amped Coffee here in Anthem. During your meeting, she will let you know where you stand with admission, scholarship, and finances. She will be at Amped on August 26th, September 9th, and September 16th from 12-2. Feel free to call or text Mrs. Magnsuon at 480-658-6746 to let her know when to expect you. This information is also posted on our counseling web page under college visits.
Softball: *Attn: ALL students interested in playing softball this year, there is a meeting on Sept 15th in room 533 @ 2:30 pm
University General Information Sessions: Juniors and Seniors, Join the University of Notre Dame, Emory University, Johns Hopkins University, and Washington University in St. Louis for one of two General Information Sessions offered via Zoom. The first session is this Sunday from 4-5 pm EDT. The second session is on Thursday, September 2, from 7-8 pm EDT. You can RSVP on the counseling web page under College Visits.
NHSDA: Students, are you interested in joining Dance Club? If so, come to our next meeting on September 2nd, 2:15-3:15 pm in the dance studio (room 130). All levels are welcome and no prior training is required. Our first meeting will be a jazz-funk combination and meetings are tentatively planned for every other Thursday. We will have a new style each week. Come dance with us!
Astrology Club: If you are interested in Astrology, Astrology Club is meeting after school in room 50 on September 1st.
Theatre Club: The next Theatre Club meeting is on September 1st after school.
Girls Golf: Congrats to the girls' golf team who improved to 3-0 on the year against Westwood and Red Mountain, beating both teams by more than 50 strokes. Lauren Huddleston led the way shooting a 2 under 32 and a new season-low. The rest of the team shot great rounds as well, all shooting under 40. Next up the girls head to the Ping Invitational at the Wigwam Resort. Good Luck ladies!
E-Sports: Students if you are interested in doing E-Sports that there is an informational meeting this Thursday in Mrs. Phillips classroom 330 at 2:15.
Science National Honors Society: Do you love science? Are you a math wiz? Do you spend your free time programming a computer or taking things apart to figure out how they work? If you are a junior enrolled in an honors/dual science course and have a 3.0 GPA, then you are eligible to apply for membership in the BCHS Science National Honors Society. As a member of SNHS, you are qualified to pursue the Certificate of STEM Distinction. Invitation letters are going out this week and the SNHS Application meeting will be on Thursday, September 2nd OR Friday, September 10th in room 432. See Mrs. Baldwin in room 432 for more details.
Holistic Admissions: Juniors, you have the opportunity to meet with Berkeley, Dartmouth, Northwestern, Princeton, and Vanderbilt virtually. Learn about holistic Admissions in a highly selective environment. Multiple dates are available this fall. Go to College Visits on the counseling web page to sign up.
Dual Enrollment: Students, this is a reminder that if they have not yet enrolled for dual the deadline is September 20th. If you are taking a dual enrollment course but are not registered with Rio Salado but wish to do so, please visit the counseling website at https://www.dvusd.org/Page/14368.
