Governor's Youth Commission (GYC): Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors! Do you have a passion for service and leadership? The Governor's Office of Youth, Faith, and Family (GOYFF) is seeking inspiring youth leaders from Arizona high schools to serve on the 2021-2022 Governor's Youth Commission (GYC). Attention Senior receiving or that have received a Scholarship: Attention Seniors We would like to acknowledge all Seniors receiving Athletic or Academic Scholarships. If you are receiving or have received any Scholarships please fill out the Google doc Form located on the Boulder Creek website in the Graduation information. Please fill it out completely and submit it. THE LAST DAY TO SUBMIT ALL SCHOLARSHIPS IS April 30TH.

Student Parking for 2021-2022 School Year: Current Juniors: Starting April 5th through the end of the School Year, ONLY incoming Seniors for the 2021-2022 School Year may apply for Parking. Current Sophomores: Starting April 19th through the end of the School Year may apply, if your application is submitted earlier than April 19, your application will be declined. Parking is closed during Summer Break. See Boulder Creek website under the "For Student" tab for the 2021-2022 application. Completed Application in Full - All signatures are Required (Missing Signatures will be automatically declined) Photocopies- Drivers License, Insurance Card, Registration, and Student ID, need to be provided.

Free ASU Summer Program: FREE ASU SUMMER PROGRAM! RISE Summer Leadership Institute is a free leadership and college readiness program for rising Black/African American high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors that are accepted. RISE celebrates and continues the legacy of Black and African American Sun Devils of Arizona State University. The institute provides tools to help students cultivate their leadership abilities as they continue serving at their schools and in the community. EMT Scholorship: WHAT IS HERO 320? Hero 320 is a nonprofit organization with the goal of preserving and carrying on the legacy of education, compassion, and service started by retired Fire Captain Damian "DJ" Lopez by providing scholarships and assistance to individuals studying to be emergency medical responders. DATES & EVENTS Hero 320 will be awarding the first scholarship in May 2021. Applications are now available for download and accepted between March 15 and April 30, 2021. Arizona Girls State Program: Attention Juniors! Arizona Girls State Program is hosting a virtual summertime educational program from June 6th - 12th for female high school juniors that focuses on participation and personal experience in a model state, complete with governmental bodies and elected public officials. Fee Classes at Coconino Community College (CCC): Free classes at CCC this summer for high school seniors in Coconino County FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – High school seniors in Coconino County will be able to attend summer classes at Coconino Community College for free. Thanks to COVID relief funding from the federal government, county high school seniors will be able to get a head start on a college education this summer. “In keeping with our philosophy of ‘Students First,’ we are using as much of the federal funding as possible to help students get started in college right away,” said CCC President Dr. Colleen A. Smith. “There will also be funding to help students who have needed to take some time away from their college studies due to the many different impacts of the pandemic. Give us a call, or come see us so that you can gear up for summer and fall classes!” CCC Provost Dr. Nate Southerland said, “This year’s graduating class has really been impacted by COVID, and we want to help them launch their college career successfully. Whether they need to take some remedial classes to catch up on their Math and English skills or get a head start on the classes required for their major, we want our graduating seniors to know that we are here for them.” Furthermore, Southerland added that stimulus money will also be available to help with the cost of tuition to all students who continue to take classes into the fall 2021 semester. The college has more than $3 million in two rounds of funds from the federal government to assist students during the COVID-19 pandemic. The funds may be distributed to the students in the next year. The first round of funding, about $552,000 comes from the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2021. The next round of funding for students at CCC from the same act, called the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund, is about $2.45 million. These funds will help new students make the transition to college, help current students continue their college journey, and help students who may have stopped attending college because of the pandemic to return in order to reskill and recover from the effects of the pandemic. UofA virtual sessions: Juniors- This week is the last week the University of Arizona will be offering virtual sessions that go over how to apply for admissions over the summer. The application will open on July 1. Visit the counseling web page to sign up!

Tuesday--Grammys: "Rock" your favorite band tee or come dressed as a celebrity/rock star (Or come dressed as a grandma?! However you interpret it, it's cool with us!) Wednesday--Streamys: YouTube's award show so let's celebrate with Meme Day! A quick Google search will show popular memes from the last few years that students will get a kick out of. Thursday--ESPYs: Anything sports! Jerseys, favorite team, or full gear--you decide. Friday--Paparazzi & Red Carpet: Sendoff our "rockstar" Seniors in style! Seniors wear red while Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors wear black.
