Calling all Sophomores: CALLING ALL SOPHOMORES! HOBY (youth leadership organization) is hosting a 3-day leadership seminar for our current sophomores from June 4th - 7th at ASU West Campus. This program provides students with a unique interactive leadership training, life experience on a university campus, and motivation-building experiences. Please pick-up and complete a student nomination application from the counseling office. The applications are due to Ms. Sherrod by Tuesday, November 19th.
Operation Christmas Child: Next week is the beginning of the annual Operation Christmas Child project. This year, we have 300 boxes in the back of room 612. You may start picking up boxes at any time. Each box contains a handout on HOW TO PACK A SHOEBOX. Please use the back door if a class is in session. Boxes are due back by November 8th.
Counseling Flex times: A makeup session for sophomores to register for their junior classes will be held during FLEX TIME this week in the Main Auditorium. Coconino Community College located in Flagstaff will be here during FLEX TIME. They will discuss programs offered, transferring to NAU or another state university and how to apply. The US ARMY will be here during FLEX TIME to discuss career, education and scholarship opportunities. All FLEX TIME session is under counseling.
Softball meeting: Softball meeting Wednesday, Nov. 6th at 2:30 in Mr. Campbell's room
Girls Golf: Congratulations to girl's golf! They competed in The Division 1 state championships and placed 8th in the state out of 28 teams. Each girl shot their personal bests and a special congratulations to Julie Huggins for taking 12th individually and breaking the school record for 18 holes and shot 4 over for the tournament.
Girls Beach Volleyball: Attention all girls thinking about playing beach volleyball this spring! There will be a player meeting on Monday, November 18th at 2:30 pm in the Jag Center! See you there!!
World Language Club: ¡hola, bonjour, nihao. World language club is going to have origins of the Thanksgiving theme for the next meeting. Please join us at 2:15 on Tuesday, November 19 at room 331. Everyone is welcome.
