Internship Students...but sure to upload you work on Fridays!

Food Drive – Hey Ridge guess what?  The food drive is here!  For 14 of the last 15 years we’ve held the state record for the most cans collected. This year we will again participate in the National Student Food Drive Competition and we are excited to put Mountain Ridge back on the top!  So, let’s smash our record of almost 240,000 cans we did a few years back, and reach our goal of 250,000! Starting today bring any donated non-perishable items into your FIRST hour, and help us make it the best year ever. We can do it!  Let’s keep our trophy and BEAT OC!

Blood Drive: Want to help save someone's life? You can! The Fall Blood Drive is Tuesday, October 22nd. You need to be at least 16 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds, and be in good health. In order to donate schedule an appointment in Mr. Prey's room C209. Thank you!

Now is the time to apply for the Prudential Spirit of Community Award. Go online to apply and then let Ms. Debbie Moore know that you have applied.spirit.prudential.com/  The deadline is November 5th.

The DECA scholarship window is now open. Over $300,000 dollars up for grabs!  Get online and apply NOW!!

The girls badminton beat Boulder Creek 9-0, the team is 9-3 on the season and ranked #4 in the state. Varsity players include Kaitlin Tucay, Morgan Pearson, Ali Roskelley, Ali Pedersen, Savannah Swint, Vedika Tripathi and Samantha Rawson. The Mr. Poppers award went to Kaitlin Tucay for her dominance in singles and doubles.

Winter sport tryouts begin on Monday, November 4th, if you are interested in trying out for Basketball (boys/girls), Soccer(boys/girls) or Wrestling make sure you are cleared through the athletic office by November 1st.  See Mrs. Wesson if you have questions or go to mrhsathletics.com for more information.
