Girls, are you interested in participating in volleyball next year? Please come to a meeting with Coach Williams before school on Friday, May 3rd at 7:10 AM in room E-107 for information on summer campus, tryouts and other information for the 2019 fall girls volleyball season. See you there!
Interested in drama, arguing, politics, presentation or debate? Join us in room E-211 on May 2nd from 2:30 – 3:00 PM for an introductory presentation from a guest speaker to learn about the upcoming MRHS Speech and Debate team for the 2019-2020 school year. No commitment or prior experience necessary.
Attention Seniors: Those seniors with last names L – Z will have their senior meeting in the auditorium during acaprep TODAY, May 2nd. If your last name is from A – K and you were absent on Tuesday, please attend the meeting on Thursday.
Attention Seniors: Renaissance cords for this semester will be handed out Thursday, May 2nd during lunches on the grassy knoll. Lists have been posted, please check the list and pick up your cord. Also a quick reminder that all requests for prior cords must be turned in prior to May 10th. Last day to pick up cords for graduation is Friday, May 10th.
Current Juniors, don’t forget the ASU representative will be on campus this TODAY, May 2nd during AcaPrep. This is a great chance to learn more about ASU and get any questions you have answered. Get an AcaPrep pass from the Counseling office to attend.
Interested in Girls Golf? There will be an informational meeting on TODAY, May 2nd @ 2:30 p.m. in Room D106.
Athletes, the time has come again to get your athletic physicals. Schedule an appointment in the Athletic office or email Lara.wesson@dvusd.org. Physicals are Saturday, May 4th from 7:00 – 11:30 AM at MVP Orthopedics. Flyers are posted in the classrooms as well.
Congratulations to the Mountain Ridge Math Club on their success this year. Grace Xu and Sarah Zhao qualified made the American Mathematics Competitions honor roll, qualified for the AIME test and were both invited to participate in American Regions Mathematics League this summer.
Although the team did not place at the state championships, Aiden Bowers placed 6th in the freshman category, and qualified for the national championship on May 18th.Great job math club!
Blood Drive: Thank you all that made the blood drive a success. We had over 100 people donate and successfully collected 114 units of blood. Ralph Waldo Emerson said, “The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well.” Donors you are truly life savers. Thank you to all the VICA members, Mr. Lou Shriro, and all donors that made this important event happen.
