Congrats to the 2019-2020 DECA Leadership Team.  We have 12 officers and 3 Chairpersons.  DECA Chapter Officer Team:  Ryan Rushing, Bethany Horton, Arnav Sangelkar, Sanika Naik, Albin Arulanandu, Jade Quinn, Frank Pauls, Suraj Elango, Sophia Kessler, Neil Walia, Liam Nelson and Tarun Aking.  Chairpersons:  Mikayla Keys, Mische Santschi and Vinn Akkiraju

Congrats to all the students who were hired yesterday at the DECA and NAF hiring event!  Over 20+ students got jobs!  Thanks to Marriott, McDonalds, Discover Card, ProSteel and others for hiring our awesome students!  Also, thanks to Mrs. Horton and Mrs. Nichols for assisting with the event.

The bookstore hours will be limited this week.  Wednesday and Thursday, April 24^th and 25^th, the bookstore will only be open from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and will be closed on Friday, April 26^th.  Monday and Tuesday, the 29^th and 30^th, the hours will be 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.  Normal bookstore hours will resume on May 1^st.

Attention Seniors, if you had Mrs. McBride or Mrs. Moya for freshman ELA, time capsules are available in room E-112.  Stop by and get yours today!

The ASU Representative for our campus is coming on Thursday, May 2^nd during AcaPrep to talk to current juniors interested in ASU.  This is a great chance to learn about admissions, scholarships, campus life, Barrett Honors and to ask any questions you might have.  Get an AcaPrep pass from the Counseling office to attend.

Interested in drama, arguing, politics, presentations or debate?  Join us in room E-211 on May 2^nd from 2:30 – 3:30 PM for an introductory presentation from a guest speaker to learn about the upcoming MRHS Speech and Debate team for the 2019-20 school year.  No commitment or prior experience necessary!

The MRHS Mentor program would like to thank all students who applied and teachers and staff who reviewed many applications!  The mentor acceptance list is now posted outside C-219 and in teacher’s rooms.  Mentors, please attend a meeting next Tuesday, April 30^th in the C computer lab before or after school.

Please visit KFC/Taco Bell on 67^th and Deer Valley this Saturday between 10:00 – 2:00 PM to get your car washed!  Educators Rising members will make your care sparkly clean!

Athletes, the time has come again to get your athletic physicals.  Schedule an appointment in the Athletic office or email Lara.wesson@dvusd.org.  Physicals are Saturday, May 4^th from 7:00 – 11:30 AM at MVP Orthopedics.  Flyers are posted in the classrooms as well.

 Attention seniors and SENIOR PARENTS, celebrate graduation with a personalized MRHS Senior Yard Sign with your son or daughters name on it. Pick up a flyer in the bookstore or go to the Mountain Ridge Pom facebook page to get an order form. All orders are due by April 26th.
