Congratulations Holden Long who has been nominated as our March Rotary Student of the Month.  Holden was nominated by our Social Studies department.

We are in need of blood donors for the blood drive on Thursday, April 25th.  You need to be at least 16 year’s old, weigh at least 110 pounds and be in good health.  You must schedule an appointment in Mr. Prey’s room C-209.

The Fine Art department proudly presents our annual Spring Art show this Wednesday, April 17th.  The reception is open from 6:00 to 8:00 PM with the awards ceremony at 7:00 PM.  As always, admission is free.  Come and support your visual artist friends!

Mountain Ridge's after school program in E-117 would like you to be a part of it.  Bring your friends and have fun relaxing indoors while you are waiting for a ride or for practice to start.  The program is Monday-Thursday from 2:30-3:45. See you there!

Think you are pretty good at Rock, Paper, Scissors? Let's crown a school champion this Wednesday, after school at 2:30 in E-117. Just show up by 2:40 to get in the tournament bracket. Invite your friends and let's have some fun.

Attention students that park your vehicles on the residential streets surrounding Ridge!  The Glendale pavement management project will be taking place starting Monday, April 15th.  If your car is on the street that is going to be paved, it will be towed.  Please make alternative arrangements.  You can call project hotline at 602-532-6250.

If you had Mrs. Moya or Mrs. McBride for freshmen ELA, your time capsule will be available in room E-112 beginning Monday, April 15th.  Stop by and pick it up.

DECA members you need to get into the canvas course on Thursday to see the ballot for voting.  If you have questions come by the student store.

Seniors, if you took CTE courses during your time here at Ridge, you could be eligible for a CTE Honor Cord.  Please see your CTE teacher to fill out the rubric to find out if you qualify.  If you were in the Academy of Entrepreneurship, you can qualify for the NAFTracks honor cord as well.  See Mrs. Moore for details.

The MRHS STUDENT Hiring event is set for April 24th.  During both lunches there will be tables set up.  Be prepared to meet employers and talk to them about jobs.  The event is open to ALL MRHS students.  Get your resume ready and come see what jobs are available.  Marriott Desert Ridge has LOTS of job offerings.  Discover is looking for students to work 30+ hour with pay over $11 per hour.  Marriott, Discover Card and McDonalds are confirmed at present.

Arizona DECA will be awarding ten $1000.00 scholarships this year to our top seniors moving on to further their education.  The application window opens tomorrow and continues until April 12th!  See Mrs. Moore or Mrs. Woodruff for details.

Western Region DECA is offering up to $5000.00 in scholarships to chapters to send students to the Emerging Leader Summit taking place from July 15 – 17 in San Diego!  Advisors may apply for this scholarship for chapter members that would made great future candidates for state office and beyond!  See Mrs. Moore or Mrs. Woodruff if you are an interested DECA member.

The JW Marriott at Desert Ridge is offering a part-time summer job to one of our students interested in culinary.  Please see Mrs. Debbie Moore in the DECA student store or C-103 for details on this opportunity.  Thanks to the National Academy Foundation and the Academy of Entrepreneurship at Mountain Ridge.  Marketing and DECA, a clear path to your future career!

Freshman Baseball is home tonight against Horizon.  Come out and support your team!
