Congratulations to the Mountain Ridge Brain Bee Team for demonstrating their "Knowledge of Neurology" in the Arizona Regional Brain Bee.  The Team of Nikhhil Dholaria, Shiv Shah, Andrea Trinh, Renee Myers, Meagan Boden, Brenna Samenfink, Naia Temple, Aubri Garcia, Nicholas Marcell, Aditi Galande, & Savannah Bennett took 2nd place overall in the State Team Competition, just a few points behind Basis-Chandler.  The impressive team performance was led by Nikhil placing 4th overall, Shiv 6th, and Andrea 18th.

Congratulations to Coach Glonek’s Power Training Lifters for the month of January:  1^st hour Derek Torres, 2^nd hour Jared Sing, 3^rd hour Curren Faschin, 5^th hour Jordan Swanson and 6^th hour Thomas Ellis.  After school sports program lifters of the month of January are:  Baseball, Joseph Escontrias and Jackson Alsobrooks, Football, Tim Ferguson, Softball, Megan Lake and Track and Field Keerthi Rao.  Congratulations lifters!

Interact is collecting unused and/or gently used crutches, walkers and wheelchairs for polio victims in Kenya.  Bring them to E208.  We will be collecting them until February 23^rd.

It is CTE month, we have DECA, ERA, FBLA, HOSA and SkillsUSA on our Mountain Ridge Campus.  Happy CTE month!

The library will be closed today for Civics Testing.

Spring sports tryouts begin on Monday, February 5th. If you are interested in baseball, softball, boys volleyball, girls beach volleyball, boys or girls tennis or track and field be sure you are cleared through the Athletic office prior to Friday, February 2nd. See Mrs. Wesson for questions.

The student store will be selling cookie bouquets for Valentines day.  Start thinking about your sweetie and your BFFs.  Order a Valentine’s balloon delivery for Valentines day from the student store.  Balloons, cookies, stuffed mountain lion, mini mountain lion or other items to customize your special gift.  Come by the student store to pre-order yours today!

Girls basketball is at home against Kellis.  It is senior night so come out and support your team!
