WEST WING SCHOOL NEWS!!

SPORT TEAM PICTURES:  All Spirit Line and Basketball players will have their team pictures taken THIS Thursday, December 7^th at 3:45 in our MPR.  Remember to have your uniforms!

PTSA NEWS:

PTSA HOLIDAY HOUSE:  Continues through Friday!  Kids can come and shop for holiday gifts and….here’s the good news…..NOTHING is over $5!!!!!  8:30am – 3:45 in our science lab.   Please consider volunteering for a shift by visiting their website at http://westwing.my-pta.org/  and going to their “volunteer tab”.   

CHRISTMAS ANGELS:   THIS Wednesday, December 6^th is HAT DAY.  Students can pay $1 to wear a hat all day!  Students should give their dollar to their teacher.    The money collected will go towards our 4^th grade trip to the mall to purchase gifts for children who are listed on the Christmas Angel trees.  4^th graders are asked to do extra chores or work for the money to spend on these kids who are less fortunate. 

NJHS FOOD DRIVE:  NJHS is sponsoring a food drive with St. Mary’s Food Bank beginning Tuesday, December 5^th.   Boxes will be placed in each classroom.   Please donate canned vegetables, canned fruits, dry bean, whole grain cereals, peanut butter, canned chicken/tuna, canned ravioli.   Classrooms will win a prize for the most collected.   Deadline is December 15^th. 

BASKETBALL GAMES:

SPELLING BEE:  Tuesday, December 12^th at 9:00am in our MPR

CHOIR CONCERT:  Thursday, December 14^th at 6:30pm in our MPR

EARLY RELEASE:    All students released at 12:05pm

COMING IN FROM OUR CAFETERIA 

LOGO CONTEST:  Our cafeteria is looking for a logo and we want our students to come up with it!  The winning logo will be on our cafeteria business cards.  Submit your drawing – it MUST have to do with West Wing and nutrition- to the cafeteria during November 6th – December 22nd. 

Elementary Lunch - $2.60

Adults - $3.50 (includes drink)

We are open for breakfast at 8:15-8:45 a.m.
