WEST WING SCHOOL NEWS!!

PTSA NEWS:

PTSA HOLIDAY HOUSE:  It’s that time!!!  Our PTSA is getting ready for their annual Holiday House where kids can come and shop for holiday gifts and….here’s the good news…..NOTHING is over $5!!!!!  Monday, December 4^th – Friday, December 7^th   from 8:30am – 3:45 in our science lab.   Please consider volunteering for a shift by visiting their website at http://westwing.my-pta.org/  and going to their “volunteer tab”.   

CHRISTMAS ANGELS:  Our 4^th graders make an annual trip to the mall to purchase gifts for children who are listed on the Christmas Angel trees.  4^th graders are asked to do extra chores or work for the money to spend on these kids who are less fortunate.  In addition to earning the money they are also doing a little fund raiser.  

Wednesday, December 6^th is HAT DAY.  Students can pay $1 to wear a hat all day!  Students should give their dollar to their teacher.

SPELLING BEE:  Tuesday, December 12^th at 9:00am in our MPR

CHOIR CONCERT:  Thursday, December 14^th at 6:30pm in our MPR

EARLY RELEASE:    All students released at 12:05pm

COMING IN FROM OUR CAFETERIA 

VEGGIE CONTEST:   Your child can win a week’s worth of free snacks (up to $0.75) during the month of November by participating in our veggie contest.  Kinder- 3^rd should submit their drawing of the featured veggie to the lunch ladies by Friday each week.   4^th -8^th grades need to memorize the fun fact and submit their forms by Friday each week. Winners will be announced Monday mornings. 

LOGO CONTEST:  Our cafeteria is looking for a logo and we want our students to come up with it!  The winning logo will be on our cafeteria business cards.  Submit your drawing – it MUST have to do with West Wing and nutrition- to the cafeteria during November 6th – December 22nd. 

Elementary Lunch - $2.60

Adults - $3.50 (includes drink)

We are open for breakfast at 8:15-8:45 a.m.

NOVEMBER  Extra lunch choices are: Tex Mex Salad w/ muffin or Beef & Bean chili w/muffin
