WEST WING SCHOOL NEWS!!
NJHS BLANKET DRIVE: Please consider donating a tie-blanket already made or fleece for the NJHS members use to create the tie-blanket. The fabric can either be 1 yard in length for infants or 1 1/2 yard in length for bigger kids. The fabric can be patterned or solid- preferably in bright colors. These are being made for the patients at Banner Thunderbird Pediatric Unit. Cash donations will also be accepted to help us buy fleece. Please give your fabric or donations to classroom teacher. The class with the most fabric/ blankets will win a Grand prize. The NJHS members will help tie the blankets and attach an encouraging message for the patients and families. Last day to collect is November 3rd.
STUDENT COUNCIL CARE PACKAGES FOR HEROS: October 23rd- November 3rd: Student Council is working with Boots in the House to send care packages for troops deployed in Afghanistan, Iraq, Naval ships and other undisclosed locations around the world. Please send in protein, granola, microwave items, DVD movies, board games, cards, toiletries just to name a few! Please see the flyer sent home with your child for all the details.
October 30th – November 3rd:Selling ribbons so students can write the name of a Veteran or an Active Duty Service Member.Ribbons will be tied together on the fence to form the American Flag.Proceeds will pay for the Veteran’s breakfast on November 7th
Veteran’s Appreciation Assembly:Tuesday, November 7th at 10:00am. Please invite any and all Veterans or Active Duty Personnel. They will be treated to a complimentary breakfast in their honor at 9:00am before the assembly.

Pick-Up/Drop-Off Procedures:
-If your child is in 1st through 8th grade, they must be dropped off or picked up in the back of the school near the cafeteria.
*Parents are not permitted to use the front parking lot, fire lane, or the bus lane on the side of the school to pick up or drop off children. It is a safety issue.
- If your child is in KINDERGARTEN (plus siblings), they must be dropped off or picked up in the front of the school.
