WEST WING SCHOOL NEWS!!

BIG THANK YOU’S!!:  Elizabeth Santillan with AZ & Associates Real Estate Group for supplying breakfast for the teachers and staff.   Mathnasuim for the wonderful lunch totes!   PARENTS who donated all the socks, granola bars, nuts and other items to make our week special.  And last, but not least, our wonderful PTSA for your hard work planning all the food (Twisted Italian – YUM) and fun for us all week! 

DINNER & DESSERT NIGHT TONIGHT!:  Tuesday, May 9^th at Chipotle on Lake Pleasant Prkwy from 5:00pm – 8:00pm and right next door at Cold Stone from 6:00pm – 9:00pm.   Please present your flyer (or show it from your smart phone) to ensure your purchase is counted.   A percentage of the proceeds will come back to WW!! 

STUDENT ACCOUNTS:  The end of year is upon us. Several students have large outstanding debt. The cafeteria has a responsibility to collect this debt. Parents, please contact the cafeteria at 623-376-5014, or have your children ask what they owe and please end the school year in the clear.

LIBRARY ACCOUNTS:  All library accounts must be clear this Friday, May 12th.   We are having a “Book Return Contest” where classes who have cleared their accounts on their scheduled date will be playing games during their last visit and will also receive a treat of their choice.   If books cannot be located they will need to be paid for at this time. 

STEAM EVENT:  The Science PLC is busy planning for our STEAM night on May 10th. We are looking for professionals to come and set up a table that will tell students all about how science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics plays a role in their career each day.  If you are interested in participating please contact Shelly Schubert at Shelly.schubert@dvusd.org.   Thank you.

VOLLEYBALL CAMP:  6^th, 7^th and 8^th graders interested in playing volleyball in the future at WW should attend the meeting scheduled for May 16^th at 3:45pm in our MPR.   They will receive information about camp dates, try-outs and other expectations for the upcoming season. 

SCHOOL SUPPLY KITS:  School supply kits are available to order for next school year!   To order your kit go to:  www.shopttkits.com – enter our school code #95735 and then pick your child’s grade level.   The last day to order is June 16^th. 

BAND CONCERT:   Thursday, May 18^th at 6:30pm in our MPR

8^th GRADE DANCE:  Friday, May 19^th at 6:00pm.  More info to follow.

8^th GRADE ONLY EARLY RELEASE:   Tuesday, May 23^rd all 8^th graders will dismissed at 12:05pm

8^TH GRADE PROMOTION:  Tuesday, May 23^rd at 6:30pm at Sandra Day O’Conner High School.    Please remember lunch and library accounts must be clear prior to graduation. 

LAST DAY OF SCHOOL!:  Wednesday, May 24^th all students dismissed at 12:05pm
