ACTS: Attention Seniors - ACTS is offering three $1000 scholarships to 2017 Boulder Creek graduating seniors who meet the following criteria: Minimum GPA 3.0, Pell Eligible, Attending technical, community college or four year college/university in fall of 2017. Applications can be picked up in the Counseling office and are due by April 15th.
ASU summer opportunity: Looking for summer activity? ASU has a 15-day intensive residential program provides students an opportunity to explore and expand their knowledge in Chinese language and culture through a highly structured theme and task-based curriculum. Sharon Heikkinen Memorial Scholarship: “Attention students who are graduating this year. Applications are now in the BCHS counselling office for the Sharon Heikkinen Memorial Scholarship. Students are eligible to apply if they have a minimum GPA of 2.0, are graduating in May 2017 and will attend college to pursue a career in healthcare. Applications are due back by Monday April 10th. Stop by the counseling office today and pick up a packet. Thanks.”

SUMMER PROGRAMS The National Hispanic Bar Foundation is offering Future Latino Leaders Law Camp this summer in Washington, D.C. for Latino students who are interested in the law profession. Flinn Scholarship The Flinn Foundation will be hosting several information sessions for college-bound sophomores and juniors to learn more about the prestigious Flinn Scholarship. SENIOR CORDS ATTENTION SENIORS: Congratulations to the senior students who qualify for our Renaissance Recognition Program! These cords are to be kept and worn at your graduation ceremony. Seniors that earn cords should receive a total of 7 by their senior year if their grades and GPA is as follows. · * Gold Cords: All A’s and Honor B’s · * Silver Cords: All A's and Honor B's and Honor C's with a 4.0+ GPA · * Black Cords: All A's, B's, and Honor C's with a 3.5-3.9 GPA · * White Cords: All A's, B's, and Honor C's with a 3.0-3.4 GPA Please come and see Ms. Braidy to pick up your cords starting February 7th.
Attention Dual Enrollment Students: We will be proctoring the Reading, Math and Write Placer Accuplacer tests here on campus April 24th & 25th. This week, students who have enrolled in a Dual class for next year will receive a letter explaining the registration and testing process. On April 24th and 25th, passes will be sent to students in their Language Arts class to test. In order to test, you must have enrolled as a Rio Salado student, have your 8-digit student ID#, and a valid picture ID. If not, you will not be permitted to test and will have to take the test at the college this summer. Please see Mrs. Tyrrell in the Counseling Department if you have any questions.

Grand Canyon University visit A representative from Grand Canyon University will be on campus on Friday March 31st at 10:30 am. Please come to the counseling office to sign up to see the representative.
Daisy Mountain Veterans Scholarship Attention Seniors. If you are related to a military member there is a scholarship for you. You must have a GPA of 2.5 and been accepted for post-secondary enrollment for the 2017 Fall semester. Scholarship applications are in the counseling office and the due date to apply is April 15th, 2017.
FCA Meeting FCA members- Don't forget the meetings today during both lunches in Room 612. Get there at the bell if you want pizza. The meetings are open to everyone.
World Language Club World Language Club ¡hola, bonjour, nihao. World language club is going to have Easter theme meeting at 2:20 in room 303 on Wednesday, April 12. Everyone is welcome.
Football information Attention: anyone interested in playing football for Boulder Creek next season, there will be a mandatory meeting after school Wednesday, April 5 at 2:20 in the cafeteria. Any questions or conflicts please see Coach Casarella in room 823.
DV Online Learning Program Students ONLY Attendance is required for all students that did not pay for their online class. Attendance is all time spent working, reading and participating in your class. This log verifies to the State of Arizona your attendance in an online course. The attendance log must be submitted each week. The expectation is that you work eight hours per week per course. Thank you for taking online courses with the DV Online Learning Program.
