WEST WING SCHOOL NEWS!!

SPIRIT WEEK: In efforts to kick off our "Be in the know about H2O!" Pep Assembly scheduled for the Friday, March 17th at 10:00 am we’re having spirit days all this week.

Thursday: Mustang Day – Wear your school colors

Friday: Green Day – Wear all green

Parents: We would love for you to attend the pep assembly!! We'll be outside the cafeteria near the basket ball courts.

SPRING BREAK – NO SCHOOL: Monday, March 20^th – Friday, March 24^th

MINI CHEER CLINIC: Kinder – 6^TH graders can join and learn jumps, proper motions and technique, cheer and dance. The cost is $30 per participant and $20 for each additional sibling. Registration and payment is due by THIS Friday, March 17^th. Packets are available in the front office or from Coach Sercl. Classes will be April 3^rd – 6^th from 3:30 – 5:30pm in our MPR.

BATTLE OF THE BOOK COMPETITION: Our next battle is scheduled for Monday, March 27^th at 2:30pm. This is the Monday when we return from Spring Break so it’s very important everyone is in attendance so team mates are not left alone during the competition. If you would like to attend please RSVP to Shari.mills-zumstein@dvusd.org so there can have enough seating for all.

AZ MERIT TESTING BEGINS: Tuesday, March 28^th and continues through April. Please refrain from scheduling doctor / dentist appointments or vacations during your child’s testing times.

PTSA’s QUARTER & LIVE AUCTION: Come and join us for a dinner out and a fun evening at the 500 Club’s Outdoor Patio. The cost is $25 per person which includes dinner and an auction paddle. Bring lots of quarters so you can bid on great prizes! Tickets are available for purchase online at westwingptsa.com until March 23^rd. Don’t forget next week is Spring Break so get your tickets today!!!

PTSA MEETING: Thursday, April 6^th at 6:00pm in our MPR

WEST WING MOUNTAIN LIVING MAGAZINE: is doing a special Mother's Day issue for the May edition of the magazine. We are asking that children that reside in the community answer the following question: Why do you love mom?

They are then instructed to have their legal guardian email their (brief - 1 sentence at most) answers along with their names to me at allison.kindler@n2publishing.com by the end of March in order to have their write up featured in the "Meet Your Neighbors" article for that month.

CPR CLASSES: CPR class will be given by Gregory Serrano here at WW School on April 12^th. The cost is $20 per person. If interested please sign up with Nurse Michelle at 623-376-5010

STEAM EVENT: The Science PLC is busy planning for our STEAM night on May 10th. We are looking for professionals to come and set up a table that will tell students all about how science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics plays a role in their career each day.
