WEST WING SCHOOL NEWS!!

EARLY RELEASE:   All grades release at 12:05 pm

NO SCHOOL:

Monday, January 16^th :    Martin Luther King Day

AUTHOR VISIT:  Kindergarten through 6^th grades will be seeing Kevin Janison, author of the Deputy Dorkface books on Tuesday, January 17^th.   Orders for an autographed copy of one or more of his books are being accepted this week.  Make checks payable to “Deputy Dorkface”.   Please return order forms before Tuesday.

HONOR ROLL ASSEMBLY:  Thursday, January 12th in the MPR.         

9:00am  1^st – 2^nd  grades

9:20am  3^rd – 4^th grades

10:00am  5^th – 6^th grades

2:30pm   7^th – 8^th grades

PTSA GENERAL MEETING:  Wednesday, January 18^th at 9:00am at the Community Center.  Please come and hear what our fabulous PTSA has planned for your kids and our school. 

7^th – 8^th GRADE DANCE:    Friday, January 20^th at 5:00pm in our MPR.    More details to come.

BATTLE OF THE BOOKS COMPETITION:  Our next competition is Monday, January 23^rd at 2:30pm.   If you plan on attending please RSVP  to shari.mills-zumstein@dvusd.org by Friday, January 20^th so we can have enough seating.  

BASEBALL CAMP MEETING:  Tuesday, January 31^st at 3:45pm in our MPR will be a meeting regarding the upcoming baseball camp.   Physical forms and camp paperwork is available in our front office.   Please have your child bring the paperwork with them to the meeting.   Remember physicals are good for all sports within a school year.

Adults - $3.50 (includes drink)

We are open for breakfast at 8:15-8:45 a.m.
