WEST WING SCHOOL NEWS!!
FIELD DAY FOR KINDER – 6TH GRADES: Friday, April 1st our PE department will be hosting our annual Field Day!! PTSA will be selling drinks and snacks. Be sure to bring sunscreen, hats and have plenty of water!!
MOVIE NIGHT AT SDOHS: Friday, April 1st SDOHS’s Fresh Start group will be hosting a movie night on SDOHS’s football field at 6:45pm. COMING IN FROM OUR NURSE: Due to the increase in illness and the spread of flu in the valley we would like to remind you to please keep your child home when they are sick. If your child has a fever they must be fever free for 24 hours without pain reliever/ fever reducer before returning to school. Practice good hand washing and coughing and sneezing in arms/sleeves, eating well and getting good sleep. Thank you for your cooperation and promoting a healthy learning environment.
CPR CLASS: West Wing’s dad, Greg Serrano, who is also a firefighter will be instructing a CPR class on Wednesday, April 13th at 4:00pm. The cost is $20 per person.

CARDIAC SCREENING- Did you know that Sudden Cardiac Death (SCD) is the #1 killer of student athletes? Most routine physicals do not detect risk of SCD. The Anthony Bates Foundation is a nonprofit organization that offers free ECHO and EKG screenings to children and adults throughout the U.S. The foundation will be offering free Cardiac Screenings at Sandra Day O'Connor HS on Sat. April 30 (additional locations for screening can be found on www.AnthonyBates.org or http://www.anthonybates.org/event-information/events.html
EARLY RELEASE: Friday, April 8th all grades will be released at 12:05pm.

CHOIR CONCERT: Wednesday, April 27th at Copper Hills Church our choir will be performing at 6:30 pm.
AZ MERIT TESTING: Begins Tuesday, March 29th and continues through Wednesday, April 20th. While testing is underway we will not be able to allow volunteers on campus nor will we be able to have parent visits. Please refrain from scheduling doctor or dentist appointments on their testing days. It is important that all students arrive at school on time and are not taken early from school. To help with scheduling the following are the testing dates for your child’s grade level:
3rd Grade: March 30th, April 4th, April 8th, April 13th
4th Grade: March 29th, April 5th, April 14th, April 18th
5th Grade: April 6th, April 14th
6th Grade: April 7th, April 15th

7TH & 8TH GRADE PANORAMIC PHOTO: Friday, April 29th at 9:00am our middle school students will have their grade level panoramic photo taken on the mountain!

We’ve started an exciting new fundraising program with Nature’s Garden Delivered to bring you the finest organically grown fruits and vegetables delivered right to your home! NGD brings the Farmers Market to your door and valuable funds to your school!
NGD offers four different box sizes - Tiny ($29.95), Small ($36.95), Medium ($46.95), or Large ($56.95). Sizes are based on number of servings per box: Tiny (15-20 servings), Small (25-30 servings), Medium (35-40 servings) and Large (45-50 servings). One serving equals approximately one cup. Four different box types are available: Fruit, Veggie, Mixed (fruit and Veggies) and Office (Grab and Go Fruits). Boxes are pre-designed based on season however you have the ability to exchange any item to ensure you get what you want. You may choose between weekly, every other week or one time delivery service.
Every Friday at 12 Noon Nature’s Garden Delivered releases their menu/offerings for the upcoming week. Customers can place orders up until 24 hours before their delivery day.
