WEST WING school NEWS!!

DONATIONS: We are looking for donations of Leap Pad Readers, books, and cartridges for our younger students to use for reading, phonics and number fluency the classroom.  If you have any used or new leap pad readers you are willing to donate, please send them in.  Thank you for your continued support!

ANNUAL THANKSGIVING FEAST: Thursday, November 19^th please join our students in celebrating our Thanksgiving Feast.  Find out what time your students goes to lunch, check in with the office and meet with them at the Cafeteria or Classroom.

Price for lunch will be $3.50 includes a drink.  Siblings cost is $2.60. PLEASE BRING CORRECT CHANGE.  Your feast will include:

Roast Turkey    Dinner Roll    Mashed Potatoes   Green Beans   Applesauce   Pumpkin Pie

PTSA HOLIDAY HOUSE:   December 7th – 10th from 8:45am to 3:30pm daily in our Science Lab.   All items are $5 or less.    We are looking for volunteers to help during this time.    Please visit:  http://westwing.my-pta.org/content.asp?PageID=2    

HARKINS LOYALTY CUPS & SHIRT: We will once again be selling Harkins Loyalty Cups and T-Shirts this year.  The cost is exactly the same as purchasing directly from the theater but West Wing earns a portion of the money and best of all we deliver them right to you!  These make great gifts!  Orders are due by this Friday, November 20^th. 

Thanks again to everyone for supporting this year Fun Run and Color Run.  We are at 95% collected but want to reach our goal of 100%.  Please send in any outstanding pledge money.

PTSA GENERAL MEETING:  Friday, November 20^th at 9:00am at the Community Center our PTSA will have their monthly meeting.  Come and see what our fabulous PTSA has planned for our school!

THANKSGIVING BREAK:  No School Monday, November 23^rd – Friday, November 27^th.  Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

3^RD – 5^TH GRADE GIRLS:  Girls on the Run is returning to West Wing!   Girls in 3^rd – 5^th grades will meet twice a week (Monday and Wednesday) from 7:00am – 8:30am and learn life skills through fun activities and engaging lessons.   If your child is interested in joining pick up a flyer from the front office or contact Tracy Heath at tracy.heath@dvusd.org.   Registration is December 5^th – 19^th at www.gotrmc.org.   The season starts February 10, 2016.

Did you know you could help West Wing just by shopping at your favorite stores?  Link your grocery cards to our school, and a portion of your shopping dollars spent will help support West Wing.  Please encourage your friends and family to sign up also!   Every little bit makes a big difference in helping us achieve our goals.
