WEST WING SCHOOL NEWS!!
FALL BOOK FAIR: A BIG THANK YOU to everyone for visiting our book fair and making it a great success! We appreciate your generosity! Thank you ALBERTSON’S for your generous donation of cookies for our special event night. We love you!
BATTLE OF THE BOOKS: Our first competition is scheduled for Monday, November 2nd at 2:30pm in the library. Please make sure your child has back up plans just in case the competition runs past 3:30pm. This competition is a first for your kids as well as Mrs. Zumstein so we’re not sure what to expect. PICTURE RETAKES & CLUB PHOTOS: Thursday, November 5th Grad’s Photography will be here to take club and activity photos as well as any re-takes that are needed. Remember to wear your special club shirts if applicable!

THANKSGIVING BREAK: No School Monday, November 23rd – Friday, November 27th. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
TEAM PHOTOS: Basketball and Spirit Line photos will be taken on Tuesday, November 10th at 3:45pm in the MPR. Make sure you have your uniforms with you.
PTSA GENERAL MEETING: Friday, November 20th at 9:00am at the Community Center our PTSA will have their monthly meeting. Come and see what our fabulous PTSA has planned for our school!

Enter our “Eat the Rainbow” Art Contest for a Chance to Win a New Bike!
Eating a variety of colorful fruits and vegetables, or a rainbow of color, is a good way to make sure your body is getting all the nutrients it needs from the fruit and vegetable food groups. The Deer Valley Food & Nutrition Department will be hosting an art contest where students will be able to creatively show us what it means to “eat the rainbow” for a chance to win a new bike.
Artwork showing what it means to “Eat the Rainbow” can be submitted in the form of pictures, paintings, sculptures, drawings….the more colorful and creative the better!
Who can win? A winner will be chosen from each school at the K-8 levels.
What needs to be submitted with the artwork? Student name, school name, and lunch
pin must be given to the café manager.
When is the deadline for submissions? Friday, November 13th
àWinners will be announced December 7th-11th at each school.ß
