Have you ever wondered how your school district works?
Deer Valley University can answer that question and many more. DVU is a series of free workshops for parents, community members, and staff in the Deer Valley Unified School District that will provide participants with a basic understanding of how the school district is managed and decisions are made. Learn how the Governing Board works … decipher and decode a school budget … crack the code on education acronyms … sample goodies from our food services … You will learn about your district from boundaries to budget and more!
This class will meet in the Governing Board Room at the District Office from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. for five consecutive Thursdays: April 9, April 16, April 23, April 30, and May 7, 2015. You may register by completing the registration form or call Carrie Finch at (623) 445-5003, carrie.finch@dvusd.org.
