If you park on Hackamore in the neighborhood west of 39th Ave, Please do not block driveways or fire hydrants

If you block a driveway or fire hydrant your vehicle will be towed at your expense.  If your vehicle is towed see security or someone in the conduct office for tow information.

 

 

Sports

 

TENNIS RESULTS:  Boulder Creek won a close match 6-3 yesterday.  Varsity winners were senior captains Selia Gartley and Madie Bennett.  A varsity double winner was freshman Gabby Shawe.  The JV won 7-2 and came close to a clean sweep!  Great job EAGLES!!  Come watch the action on Thursday against Sunnyslope.

 

To Anyone Interested in Learning About Football:

The OC football program is hosting a 10 day camp for anyone who would like to learn the fundamentals and rules of football. You do not have to be a football player to attend. Come out and experience what high school football players do on a daily basis. Camp is every Tuesday and Thursday from 5:30 pm-7:30 pm. March 4 through April 10 (excluding spring break). You will receive a t-shirt and shorts, and 10 days of football instruction. Come out, have some fun and

ATTENTION ALL EAGLES!

There will be Relay for Life team captain meeting today Wednesday, March 26.  It will be held in the library at 5:30-6:30 pm.

 

Relay for Life club will be meeting on March 31, in Mrs. Simon’s room at 2:30. Don't forget to bring canned food goods with you!!"

 

Attention students, beginning March 31 thru April 15, pay off your cafeteria debt and receive a free cookie.  All cafe debts must be paid before you can apply for a parking pass and before graduation for all seniors.

 

SOFS Tutoring Opportunity: Mrs. Galbreath, Stetson Hills teacher, needs some middle school math tutors. Attention all Sophomores and those Juniors and Seniors who still need to pass the math portion of the AIMS test. There will be AIMS practice tests on Saturday March 29th and Saturday April 5th. The practice tests begin at 9:00 AM and conclude at 12 noon.  These are excellent opportunities to take the test in a testing situation. You must sign up prior to the testing dates. You can sign up in the front office at the front desk.

 

 

 IMMUNIZATIONS:

If you want a copy of your immunizations, please email Nurse Debbie at debbie.rodrigues@dvusd.org. Please allow 48 hours and bring a photo ID with you to pick them up.

 

 

Health Reminder: DO NOT come to school if you have a fever over 100.0 degrees or if you are vomiting or having diarrhea. You need to stay home for 24 hours.

*****When sending a sick student down to the nurse,  PLEASE make sure they bring all of their belongings with them.

******ALL students MUST have a pass---unless actively bleeding/ vomiting.

******The Health Office closes at 1:20 to student services for PREP//LUNCH. (Emergencies ONLY after 1:20)

******FLU season is upon us.  Please encourage students to cover their coughs and wash hands often!!

 

 

If you have lost any items please check with the conduct office. If you have already checked there and still have a lost item check the Health Center.

 

 

 

Transcripts

Students that request copies of transcripts for pick up need to allow either Mrs. Kennedy or Mrs. Sartin 24 to 48 hours to process their request. If you have requested paperwork for insurance, Social Security, full time student letters or any other forms to be filled out we also ask for a 24 to 48 hour processing period. Students are responsible for coming back to pick up their paperwork before school, after school or at lunches. A pass will not be sent out.

Arizona Science and Engineering Fair

Are you interested in science?  Students at O’Connor have the opportunity to compete in the Arizona Science and Engineering Fair this year, on April 1, 2014.  For the competition, students perform and present their own science fair research project.  Students have the chance to compete in this statewide competition, and possibly win awards!  More information and a sign-up sheet are available in the counseling office.
