Full Name: Hillcrest Middle School NJHS

What: Hillcrest Middle School NJHS received grant from SRP and AZ Tree Council “Canopy for the Next Century.”  Hillcrest NJHS along with sponsors Marianne Velonis, Nicholas Gearing, and Jeff Herold were able to plant two trees on the campus.  Students raised one half of the total cost and that amount was matched by the grant. One tree is planted as a legacy of this year's promoting class of 2012 and the other is honoring science teacher Mr. Medved, who suffered a family loss this school year.
