DVUSD Names Dr. James Veitenheimer as Superintendent
March 27, 2012 – The Deer Valley Unified School District Governing Board named Dr. James Veitenheimer as Superintendent at the March 27th Board Meeting. Dr. Veitenheimer will begin serving as Superintendent effective July 1, 2012.

Dr. Veitenheimer is the current Chief Executive Officer of Keller Independent School District (KISD), an organization which serves 32,000 students, employs more than 3,600, has an annual budget of more than $200 million, and utilizes a systems approach to continuous improvement. Prior to joining Keller, he served as the Superintendent in Canyon Independent School District from 1999-04 and Area Superintendent in Austin Independent School District from 1996-99.
We look forward to working with Dr. "V" and welcoming him to our "A" Rated District to continue our Vision. Deer Valley...a district of excellence with opportunities for every student.
