Have you ever wondered how your local school district works?
Deer Valley University can answer those questions and take the mystery out of many more starting February 2nd. Learn how the Governing Board works … decipher and decode a school budget … crack the code on education acronyms … sample goodies from our food services … the agenda is endless as to what you can learn about the Deer Valley Unified School District.
There are two attendance options available for 2012 Deer Valley University. Register and attend all five sessions in order to “graduate” from DV University. Want a refresher or interested in a particular topic? You can register for a specific date and session. Classes meet for five consecutive Thursdays beginning February 2, 2012 from 5:30pm to 7:30pm.
Session 1 February 2 District Overview and Governing Board
Session 2 February 9 Teaching and Learning
Session 3 February 16 Fiscal Services
Session 4 February 23 Improvement Systems & Human Resources
Session 5 March 1 Public Relations, Community Education and Graduation
The bell to be in your seat rings promptly at 5:30 pm. Classes will be held in the Governing Board Room on the campus of the Deer Valley Unified District Office located at 20402 North 15th Avenue in Phoenix. Space is limited.
