DVUSD Welcomes Robert Edmund as New Governing Board Member

PHOENIX, Ariz. – April 5, 2011 - The Deer Valley Unified School District received word that Robert W. Edmund has been appointed as its newest Governing Board Member by Dr. Don Covey, Maricopa County Superintendent of Schools.

Mr. Edmund, one of 13 candidates vying for the vacant board seat, was appointed after being selected as the First Nominee recommended by the DVUSD Collaboration Team and attending a nominee seminar hosted by the Dr. Covey's office on April 2. Mr. Edmund took his oath of office at the Maricopa County Education Service Agency, Tuesday, April 5 at noon and will attend his first Board Meeting, Tuesday, April 12.
