DVUSD Superintendent Hosts Community Forums
January 12 - Constitution Elementary
January 19 – Village Meadows Elementary
Virginia McElyea, Superintendent of Deer Valley Unified School District (DVUSD), is inviting the Constitution and Village Meadows Elementary School communities to attend a community forum at their schools. Date and times are listed below:
Constitution Elementary:
Wednesday, January 12, (6 p.m. – English session and 7 p.m. – Spanish session)
18440 N. 15th Avenue, Phoenix
Village Meadows Elementary:
Wednesday, January 19, (6 p.m. – English session and 7 p.m. – Spanish session)
2020 W. Morningside Drive, Phoenix
Superintendent McElyea will be discussing the federal Teacher Incentive Fund Grant awarded to DVUSD led by Arizona State University in coordination with the U.S. Department of Education, Arizona Department of Education, and the National Institute for Excellence in Teaching. The goals of the grant project include increasing student achievement, retaining highly effective educators, and fostering exemplary school culture in the highest-need communities across the state. Nearly $500,000 will be awarded to both schools.
