DVUSD Welcomes New Board Member Kelly Gorman
Welcome Reception – January 11

The Deer Valley Unified School District (DVUSD) is inviting the community to attend a welcome reception to meet newest Governing Board Member Mr. Kelly Gorman and re-elected Board Member Ms. Christy Agosta on Tuesday, January 11, 6:15 p.m. at the District Office Executive Governing Board Room located at 20402 N. 15th Avenue.

Mr. Gorman is serving his first term on the DVUSD Governing Board. He has four children, three of his school-age children attend Deer Valley Schools. He has lived in the Deer Valley School District for 13 years and is married to a 4th generation Arizona native. Mr. Gorman is a practicing attorney, having earned his Juris Doctor from Arizona State University College of Law with distinction, and his Bachelor of Science from Arizona State University in Business and Finance with the highest distinction.

Much of his time is spent serving non-profit organizations – on boards, committees, and volunteering. Mr. Gorman’s service is especially focused on the community and children’s organizations such as Board of Directors of his community association; and Interim President and Board of Director of a children’s camp.


Ms. Agosta has been a member of the Deer Valley Governing Board since 2003 and is serving her third term. She has lived in Deer Valley for 27 years. Ms. Agosta earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Global Business and graduated from the Arizona State University and is currently attending the Arizona State University College of Law. She is a long time parent volunteer at both the school and district levels and has served on numerous committees, PTAs, and Campus Improvement Teams. Her children attended and graduated from district schools.
