THANK YOU VOTERS!
The Deer Valley School District wishes to thank the voters of Arizona - and in particular our community, parents, and employees - who supported Proposition 100. It will not be necessary to cut an additional $13.1 million from our budget that has already been reduced for 2010-11 by eliminating full day kindergarten ($12.5 million). Class size will not increase, our employees will not have their salaries reduced by nearly 2%, 101 teaching positions have been saved, reading teachers will continue, art, music, and PE classes will continue, and much, much more. On behalf of our 36,000 students and 3,800 employees, thank you voters!
