WEST WING SCHOOL NEWS!!

HONOR ROLL/PRINCIPAL LIST ASSEMBLY: Thursday, March 22^nd

1st & 2nd grades: 9:00am

3rd & 4th grades: 9:20am

5th & 6th grades: 10:00am

7th & 8th grades: 2:30pm

***Parents: If you’re wondering if your child has made the the Honor Roll or Principal’s List you can check Power Schools anytime. Straight A’s = Principal’s List and A’s & B’s = Honor Roll.

CHOIR CONCERT: Thursday, March 22^nd @ 6:30pm in our MPR

NO SCHOOL:

Spring Break: March 26^th – March 30^th

AZ MERIT TESTING BEGINS AFTER SPRING BREAK: Tuesday, April 3^rd and continues until Thursday, April 26^th. During the testing month we ask parent to utilize the testing schedule located on the West Wing website when scheduling any doctor, dentist or other necessary appointments. Please refrain from scheduling on your child’s testing dates. You will find it under QUICK LINKS (left side) AZ MERIT TESTING INFORMATION. During the testing month parents & volunteers (any non-staff members) will not be allowed on campus.

WE NEED YOUR HELP!: Do you or someone you know work in the Medical, Engineering, Technology or Computer field? We need these individuals on STEAM Night in May (Science Technology Engineering and Math) . We’re looking for people in these industries to work a table during our event explaining their careers to students, parents and individuals in our community. If you are interested please contact Allison.Davidson@DVUSD.org.

PTSA’S QUARTER AUCTION IS COMING!!: Saturday, April 24^th from 6:00pm – 10:00pm at the 500 Club’s outdoor patio. Tickets may be purchased online ONLY and the deadline to purchase is Thursday, April 5^th. Go to: westwingptsa.com This is a FUN night for adults only. Your ticket includes dinner and an auction paddle. It’s a fast paced evening where guests bid with quarters on donated items including gift certificates, event tickets and salon services etc.

***CHANGES TO BASEBALL / SOFTBALL GAMES: All games start approx. 4:30pm.

NOTE: Some of our baseball games will be played at local high schools.

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT FROM OUR CAFETERIA

Dear Parent(s) / Guardian(s),

To be helpful to our patrons we have decided to implement a monthly reminder regarding your students’ lunch account.

Your student(s) lunch account may possibly be overdrawn and needs to be brought current.

Please send in a payment and provide additional money for future meal purchases. Payments may be made by CASH, CHECK, or ONLINE at www.EZSchoolPay.com

*NOTE* a $2 convenience fee will apply when making an online payment.

CPR CLASSES: We have a CPR class scheduled Wednesday April 11th at 3:45 pm here at West Wing campus. Fire fighter Greg Serrano will be the instructor. Cost is $25 per person. Please contact Michelle. Vogelsang@dvusd.org if interested.
