WEST WING SCHOOL NEWS!!

NO backpacks on campus beginning Monday, May 22nd

8th GRADE DANCE:  Friday, May 19th at 6:00pm.  Semi Formal,  snacks, drinks, photo booth and DJ provided.  Permission slips are due Thursday, May 18th.   Advanced ticket purchases only.  No ticket sales at the door. 

BAND CONCERT:   Thursday, May 18th at 6:30pm in our MPR

YEARBOOKS:  If you preordered a yearbook you will receive it Thursday, May 18th.  If you did preorder and want one they will on sale starting May 19th after school.    CASH ONLY:  Soft cover - $25.00 and Hardcover - $30. 

 

STUDENT MEDICATIONS: If your student has medication at school, an adult must pick up all medication by the last day of school. Students may not carry medication. Medications that are left at school will be properly disposed of per DVUSD protocol.

SDOHS BASKETBALL CLINIC:  5TH – 8TH grade girls can attend a basketball clinic June 5th – 7th at SDOHS.   The cost is $75 (non-refundable) and includes instruction by the coach and assistant coaches of SDOHS and a camp T-shirt.  Pick up registration forms from Mrs. Scheer in room #308 or the front office. 

CAFETERIA ACCOUNTS:  The end of year is upon us. Several students have large outstanding debt. The cafeteria has a responsibility to collect this debt. Parents, please contact the cafeteria at 623-376-5014, or have your children ask what they owe and please end the school year in the clear.

 

LIBRARY ACCOUNTS:  All library accounts must be clear as soon as possible.  If books cannot be located they will need to be paid for at this time.  Contact Shari.mills-zumstein@dvusd.org if you have any questions. 

 

HONOR ROLL ASSEMBY:    Monday,  May 22nd

9:00 am   1st & 2nd grades

9:20am    3rd & 4th grades

10:00am  5th & 6th grades

2:30pm    7th & 8th grades

 

8th GRADE ONLY EARLY RELEASE:   Tuesday, May 23rd all 8th graders will dismissed at 12:05pm

 

8TH GRADE PROMOTION:  Tuesday, May 23rd at 6:30pm at Sandra Day O’Conner High School.    Please remember lunch and library accounts must be clear prior to graduation. 

 

LAST DAY OF SCHOOL!:  Wednesday, May 24th all students dismissed at 12:05pm

 

SCHOOL SUPPLY KITS:  School supply kits are available to order for next school year!   To order your kit go to:  www.shopttkits.com – enter our school code #95735 and then pick your child’s grade level.   The last day to order is June 16th

Adults - $3.50 (includes drink)

We are open for breakfast at 8:15-8:45 a.m.
