WEST WING SCHOOL NEWS!!

WE NEED YOUR COSTUMES!:  Our music department is putting on a production:  “Once Upon A Dream”.   Mrs. Bentley is still in need of a couple more items for the show:

Aprons, boys dress coats and 2 royal looking chairs    Please contact her at ida.bentley@dvusd.org to arrange pick up or delivery.    Thank you!

SPECIFIC BOOK DONATIONS NEEDED:    The kindergarten through 8th grade teachers are currently learning a new writing curriculum called Lucy Calkins. This curriculum includes using several books to help students improve their writing skills. These books are used as examples to demonstrate a teaching point.   We are in need of books to help support our writing instruction and are asking for your help in doing this. We are asking for your donation to help purchase these books, which will be kept in a special "teacher's only" section of our library and used during writing instruction by ALL teachers in the school.  Please consider purchasing some of the titles shown OR donating a dollar amount for us to use. Both options will have your family's name on the donation sticker inside the book(s)!   Attached is the Google Doc link to view what is needed.   While in the Google Doc you have the capability to modify the information as it is filled to ensure the list is kept current.  Please contact shari.mills-zumstein@dvusd.org if you need help or have questions about the list or how to work in Google Docs.    Google Doc Book List:   https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1qh74piaXLp2Qn66S8GFGaaZUzDyR5F1I6m3wA21I-2w/edit?usp=sharing
