CROSS COUNTRY:  The Mountain Ridge Boys and Girls Cross Country Teams traveled to Flagstaff this past weekend to compete in the Peaks Invite with about 50 teams.The Boys Team finished 2nd, led by Adrian Rodriguez who finished 16th and Collin Foley who finished 19th.  The Girls Team finished 6th, led by Jessica Jacobsen who finished 14th and Sydney McCracken who finished 15th. They will compete this coming Saturday 9/9 at the Happy Valley Invitational.

Female Athlete of the Month, North Harrison- Cheerleading (Senior)  North is the gasoline that fuels our ship. She is constantly on top of things for our team and ensuring that everyone is on task. North is the senior leader that all coaches hope for. The one that is positive, but stern. The one that is competitive, but has a reasonable amount of fun. She is a hard worker and holds her teammates to the highest standard and won't let herself (or her team) settle for mediocre. She leads by example on and off the mat.

 Male Athlete of the Month, Collin Foley - Cross Country (Sophomore)  Collin has come into this season with an extreme level of determination. He is determined to reach his goals and lead this team. Only a Sophomore, but he is constantly communicating with his teammates, encouraging them, and holding them accountable. His teammates are responding which has led to our best summer yet with 5 guys running over 1,000 miles each. Collin finished 1st this past Saturday in our time trial, and already has dropped 2 minutes from his personal best time last year. .

 Coach of the Month - Gavin Lutman

STUDENT ATHLETIC PASSES: Students you can avoid the online ticket fees and purchase your Student Athletic pass from the bookstore. This pass costs $30.00 and will get you into all regular season HOME games. Your students pass will be put on your students ID card and you must show the ID card at the event

FAMILY ATHLETIC PASSES: Parents and families can purchase a punch card to get into games 20 punches for $65.00. The family punch card can be purchase at the bookstore and is for parents and family members only and can not be used by Ridge students to get into games.

TICKETS for home athletic events can only be purchased online, tickets will not be sold at the door. To purchase your tickets go to www.mrhsathletics.com and click on the ticket link.
