ASIAN CULTURE AWARENESS ASSOCIATION:   ACAA is having a culture festival on Saturday, February 11th from 2:30-5:00 pm.  We will be showcasing Cultural Languages, Food, Games & More.  $8 entrance fee, $5 with student ID.

FEBRUARY PTO MEETING - Join us on February 15th from 6:30-7:30 pm in the small auditorium in the F building for the February P.R.I.D.E PTO Meeting! We’ll be getting the ball rolling for the annual Grad Night! Please park in the front office parking lot and enter through the side doors on the east side of the building.  If you’re wanting to learn more about the PTO, find us on Facebook (Mountain Ridge High School Parent Action Group), Instagram (@MRHS_pridepto) or visit our website! https://sites.google.com/view/ridgepridesite/home

ATTENTION SENIORS: Any seniors graduating who did NOT attend the graduation meeting, we just held - Come and pick up information at the BOOKSTORE.

RIDGE RUN:  Saturday is the Ridge Run Thunderbird Park Hike.  Meet in the courtyard at 8:30 to sign up.  It is $15 for t-shirt and then you choose which club or team gets $5  It is $20 for t-shirt, medal and the $5 donation to a club or team.  It is an EASY fundraiser for your programs....you just tell people to come and pick your club/team.  THEN AT 9AM WE HIKE!!

ATTENTION SENIORS:  Attention any seniors interested in auditioning for the Main Graduation Speech. Auditions will be held March 1st – Wednesday in the lecture hall after school. A sign up sheet is posted outside Room E218. You must sign up to audition.

SPRING SPORTS TRYOUTS:  Tryouts for winter sports are the week of February 6th. Please visit mrhsathletics.com for tryout information and how to be cleared for tryouts.

SENIOR SCHOLORSHIPS:  please turn in any scholarships you have received to Ms. Dyal in the counseling office by either emailing the award letters to sarah.dyal@dvusd.org or by dropping them off in the counseling. We want to honor you at our Senior Awards Ceremony on April 26th. The deadline to turn in scholarships is Monday, March 20th. 

ATTENTION SENIORS: Cap and Gown pictures will be available from Grads Photography on Tuesday February 7th during Academic Prep in the lobby of the auditorium. If you want to have your picture taken, come to THE BOOKSTORE to get a pass. Caps and Gowns will be provided. REMEMBER MEN – bring or wear a shirt and tie. Ladies – please wear something V neck. Information is on the MR website. You must get your Academic Prep pass before the 7th.

TSW RECYCLING: The TSW Program and the Trex Co. are excited to announce our 2nd year of competition with other high schools all over the United States.  We are collecting clean tearable plastic some examples are:

Grocery bags

Plastic envelopes

Ziploc bags

Water bottle case covers

Dry cleaning bags

Bubble wrap

Ice bags

Last year we placed 2nd with over 1,100 lbs of film.  Our goal this year is 7,000 lbs, so bring in your unwanted plastic, help us reach 1st place and clean up our environment at the same time. Drop off for plastic/film is in CC#302 or designated Trex bins up by the attendance window in the administration building.  Winners will be announced in April.  

NHS TUTORING: NHS is starting up after school tutoring. There will be NHS members available Monday- Thursday from 2:15-3:15pm to tutor students in all subject Areas. Each day will focus on a different content area. Mondays will focus on Math & Foreign Language, Tuesdays will focus on Science, Wednesdays will focus on ELA and Math, and Thursdays will focus on the Social Sciences. Tutoring will be held in the Media Center. See the NHS Tutoring flyers posted around campus to sign up. Tutoring will start September 19th and run throughout the school year.   

Dropping Off Items To Students - To minimize classroom disruptions, the following are the only things that will be allowed to be dropped off for a student during the school day:  Ipad, & lunch on an emergency basis.  If a parent needs to drop off one of the above mentioned items, a pass will be sent to the student telling them to come pick up the item from the office at the appropriate time - the items will not be delivered to the student. The only exception to this is if a parent needs to bring medication and that must be taken directly to the nurse as no student is allowed to be in possession of any prescribed and/or over the counter medication.  TO REVIEW THE ENTIRE POLICY PLEASE SEE OUR WEBSITE   https://www.dvusd.org/domain/12351

HOME GAME ATHLETIC TICKETS:  Tickets for home athletic events can only be purchased online, tickets will not be sold at the door.        To purchase your tickets go to www.mrhsathletics.com and click on the ticket link.

STUDENT ATHLETIC PASSES: Students you can avoid the online ticket fees and purchase your Student Athletic pass from the bookstore. This pass costs $30.00 and will get you into all regular season HOME games. Your student pass will be put on your Student ID card and you must show the ID card at the event.

FAMILY ATHLETIC PASSES: Parents and families can purchase a punch card to get into games 20 punches for $65.00. The family punch card can be purchase at the bookstore and is for parents and family members only and cannot be used by Ridge students to get into games.   Please visit MRHSathletics.com for more Information
