CAP & GOWN ORDERS:  If you ordered your graduation products and/or cap & gown from Jostens and paid in full, your items are on the Mountain Ridge campus.  You may pick them up at the senior meetings next week or stop by and see Mrs. Steele in the principal’s office.

ACTIVE MINDS: We will be having a joint meeting with Active Minds and HOSA for mental health month! Join us Thursday, April 28th in the small gym during acaprep! We will be doing an activity and learning about how to manage and cope with your mental health!

TRACK ATHLETES: track athletes need to return their uniforms to the equipment room ASAP.  The equipment room will be open this week during lunches and after school for returns.

SENIOR GRAD NIGHT: Senior Grad Night is on Sunday, May 15th! Ridge is the only high school in the district to have continued this Grad Night for our graduating seniors for the past 20 years! It's an entertaining, fun-filled and SAFE graduation celebration. Our seniors love this all night LOCK-IN party where MRHS grads will have a chance to win some great prizes! The location is the MAIN EVENT in Avondale on Sunday, May 15th from 11pm - 5am. Tickets are $55 in advance and $65 at the door. (If payments are made online through the PayPal link/QR code, please email the P.R.I.D.E. group with the student's name and payor information.) P.R.I.D.E. representatives will also be on campus during AcaPrep on Tuesday, April 26th and Thursday, April 28th for seniors who would like to purchase tickets and sign the liability waiver. PANORAMIC PICTURES ARE IN AND NEEDING TO BE PICKED UP:  Seniors, if you ordered a panoramic picture please stop by the book store to pick it up ASAP.

SENIOR YARD SIGNS:  Did you forgot to order your SENIOR a yard sign? We are doing a second order, but order MUST be in by April 22nd—No late orders can be accepted.  $25 for Name only, or $30 for Name and Photo. Email MRHSPOM@gmail.com for an order form.  

2022-2023 SPORT PHYSICALS:  COME JOIN US FOR OUR ANNUAL PHYSICAL DAY!  ALL ATHLETES MUST HAVE A NEW PHYSICAL FOR THE UPCOMING SCHOOL YEAR  (Physicals for the 22-23 season must be signed by a doctor as of March 1, 2022 or later)   Athletic Physicals will be offered Saturday, May 7th, 7:30-11 AM Location: HonorHealth Deer Valley Orthopedics Cost: $25 cash/check  Proceeds from physicals benefit MRHS Sports Medicine Program Contact Mrs. Wesson in the Athletic Office via email lara.wesson@dvusd.org to schedule an appointment.  2022-2023 AIA PHYSICAL FORMS    2022 PHYSICAL DAY FLIER

FAMOUS DAVES BBQ FUNDRAISER TONIGHT:  Educators Rising is heading to Washington DC in June for National competition and we need your help. Enjoy dinner at Famous Dave's at 83rd Ave and Bell Road on Thurs., April 21 and 20% of the proceeds will go to Ed Rising. See the orange fliers in your teachers' classrooms for more information.

ART & PLANT SALE:  National Art Honor Society will be holding a Mini Art and Plant sale during both lunches near the grassy knoll starting Monday, April 18th through the 22nd. Bring your cash, all items are $5 each. Proceeds will go to the Make a Wish Foundation. 

PRESIDENTS VOLUNTEER SERVICE AWART:  The President’s Volunteer Service Award (PVSA) is a national program that recognizes accomplishments in service. The national program is run by the AmeriCorps program and the Points of Light Foundation. Mountain Ridge DECA is an official certifying agency for this award. Please visit the PVSA website   for more information and history of the award.  Who can apply for the PVSA? Anyone over the age of five who has completed the required number of hours for their age group is eligible to apply for the PVSA through Mountain Ridge DECA .   Please note that you do not need to complete your service hours with Mountain Ridge DECA and be a National member in order to apply.  A volunteer document is linked on the MRHS Website to document your hours. NEW AP CLASS OFFERED THIS FALL - AP Seminar. AP Seminar is a fundamental course that engages students in cross-curricular conversations that explore the complexities of academic and real-world topics and issues by analyzing divergent perspectives. Students who earn scores of 3 or higher in AP Seminar and AP Research and on four additional AP Exams of their choosing will receive the AP Capstone Diploma™. If you are interested in AP Seminar please schedule an appointment to see your counselor and add AP Seminar to your schedule for next year.

REMINDER: Students are NOT to park in the parking lot at the base of the Thunderbird Mountain hiking trail.  Tickets will be issued and cars will be towed at the owners expense.  

ATTENTION 11th & 12th GRADERS - You will need a copy of your transcript for colleges, employment or automobile insurance. You will have to get your transcript through Parchment. A Parchment account has been created for you. You can pick up your log information before school, after school and your lunch period. at the front office. Please ask for the registrar or the registrar clerk.

ATTENTION STUDENTS: We are a closed campus and do not allow any outside deliveries of food to our campus. If someone comes in with food from an outside delivery, they will be sent away.
