Congrats to MRHS Junior Tony Ruan! He has been selected for the John Philip Sousa National High School Honor Band to be held from June 24-27, 2020 in Harvard, Massachusetts! The Honor Band will be conducted by Michael J. Colburn, Former Director of “The President’s Own” United States Marine Band. The Concert will be held at historic Mechanics Hall, Worcester, MA, on Sat., June 27, 2020.

Congrats to MRHS students who performed at the Arizona Music Educator's Association Southwest Regional Festival! We had 44 students from the Band, Choir and Orchestra at Mountain Ridge attend. We are all so proud of each of these students! Special congrats to seniors Brianna Laube, Jaiden Singh and Sarah Zhao for participating all four years in the Southwest Regional Band/Orchestra!!

Attention Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors: Renaissance Cords will be distributed on Wednesday and Thursday 2/26 and 2/27/20 during both lunches. Please check the list in your classroom and bring your ID to the grassy knoll.

A representative from the University of Oregon is visiting Ridge during AcaPrep on Tuesday, Feb. 25th. He is looking to meet with 10th & 11th graders. If you are interested in learning more about the University of Oregon you should come hear what he has to say. Get an AcaPrep pass from Counseling to sign up to attend.

It’s CTE Month – Hospitality and tourism employs over 14 million workers and generated $155 billion to the economy. Happy CTE Month!

HOSA will be selling Pura Vida bracelets to raise money for the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation.  Bracelets will be on sale for $6 during both lunches through February 28th

Seniors, as you receive scholarship awards from universities or foundations, please inform the counseling office so we can celebrate your success at the Senior Honors and Awards Ceremony. Please bring a copy of the scholarship to the counseling office or email it to sarah.dyal@dvusd.org by Friday, March 13th.
