- CONGRATS to our Band on being selected as a recipient of the ABODA William E. Richardson Program of Distinction for the 2018-19 school year! A letter of congratulations was received by Mr. Vogel and Mr. Vines this week. This award recognizes superior achievement all areas of the band program and this year was only presented to six high school Bands and Orchestras in Arizona. Ridge has earned this honor five times, more than any other high school in the State, and each of the past four years.
- Come support JV Football on Wednesday the 19th at 6pm home game against Tolleson.
- Book Drive: Educators Rising challenges all students to bring in new and gently used books to your period 1 teacher to be donated to less privileged schools in the Deer Valley district. We also accept cash! $3=1 book. The class with the most books and donations by Fri., Oct. 4th will win a donut party!
- A representative from U of A will be on campus Thurs, Sept 19th during AcaPrep. If you want to hear more about the opportunities available at UofA or have questions to ask the rep, be sure to get an AcaPrep pass from the Counseling office to attend.
- Homecoming Spirit Week starts next Monday! We have the results of Homecoming Royalty Nominations. Also, tickets go on sale today for the Homecoming Dance “There’s No Place like Homecoming”. Make sure you get your code of conduct forms turned in before you can buy your tickets. The dance is on Saturday, Sept. 28th at Glendale Civic Center from 7-10pm and tickets are $25 for a single and $40 for a couple. Tickets are available at the bookstore during lunches so beat the crowd and get yours early!! Tickets will not be sold at the door.

- There is still time to get an AcaPrep pass to attend the GCU presentation tomorrow. She will be talking about the admissions process, scholarships, campus life and she'll be able to answer any questions you have. Make sure to stop by the Counseling office to get your AcaPrep pass today!
- Attention all students planning to graduate in the spring, there will be a graduation meeting about ordering caps and gowns and other information held during government AND economics classes on Friday, SEPT. 20TH IF you do not have a govt/econ class this semester, you NEED to come to the BOOKSTORE and receive a pass to attend one of these meetings.
- Attention students going to the Homecoming dance. This year, all attendees need to sign a Homecoming Dance Code of Conduct form. It will be on our website for you to download on Monday September 9th 2019. If you are bringing a non-Ridge guest, you will also need to download a guest form off of our website. Guests will also need to turn in a Dance Code of Conduct form. Forms need to be turned in to the conduct office before students can purchase a ticket. PAPERWORK MUST BE TURNED IN TO THE CONDUCT OFFICE BEFORE SCHOOL, AFTER SCHOOL OR AT LUNCH. Tickets WILL NOT be sold at the door. Again, tickets WILL NOT be sold at the door.
- All tickets need to be purchased before 3:00 p.m. on Friday, September 27th. Please wait to buy guest tickets until you have confirmed your guest has been approved. Approval lists will be updated at lunch daily, and held at the bookstore. All forms will be turned in to the conduct office. Remember, you MUST have your student ID in order to get in the door. Guests need their ID, as well.
- Students who are in possession of anything related to vaping/tobacco at the dance will not be allowed into the dance, and will be suspended off campus the following week. Seniors who are off-campus suspended will lose the privilege to walk at graduation. Thank you for following all school and district expectations.
