Congrats to our All State Band/Orchestra/ Choir students: Casey Lee, Sarah Zhao, Vanessa Woo, Caitlin Brogan, Darryl Leung, Anthony Ruan, Sean Collins and Chris Scrivens. These outstanding students traveled to Flagstaff this weekend to perform in the Arizona Music Educators Association Festival of Honor. Special Congratulations go out to Vanessa Woo who was recognized as one of only six students in the entire State to be selected as a four year member of All-State!

Congratulations Holden Long for being nominated as our March Rotary Student of the Month.  Holden was nominated by our Social Studies department.

We are in need of blood donors for the blood drive on Thursday, April 25th.  You need to be at least 16 year’s old, weigh at least 110 pounds and be in good health.  You must schedule an appointment in Mr. Prey’s room C-209.

The U of A and NAU representatives are coming to campus on Tuesday the 23rd during AcaPrep to speak to current juniors interested in attending or learning more about either the U of A or NAU.  Be sure to stop by the Counseling office today to get your AcaPrep pass to one of these great opportunities!

The Fine Art department proudly presents our annual Spring Art show this Wednesday, April 17th.  The reception is open from 6:00 to 8:00 PM with the awards ceremony at 7:00 PM.  As always, admission is free.  Come and support your visual artist friends!

Athletes, the time has come again to get your athletic physicals.  Schedule an appointment in the Athletic office or email Lara.wesson@dvusd.org.  Physicals are Saturday, May 4th from 7:00 – 11:30 AM at MVP Orthopedics.  Flyers are posted in the classrooms as well.

Mountain Ridge's after school program in E-117 would like you to be a part of it.  Bring your friends and have fun relaxing indoors while you are waiting for a ride or for practice to start.  The program is Monday-Thursday from 2:30-3:45. See you there!

Think you are pretty good at Rock, Paper, and Scissors?  Let's crown a school champion this Wednesday, after school at 2:30 in E-117.  Just show up by 2:40 to get in the tournament bracket. Invite your friends and let's have some fun.

The bookstore hours will be limited next week.  Wednesday and Thursday, April 24th and 25th, the bookstore will only be open from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and will be closed on Friday, April 16th.  Monday and Tuesday, the 29th and 30th, the hours will be 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.  Normal bookstore hours will resume on May 1st.

If you had Mrs. Moya or Mrs. McBride for freshmen ELA, your time capsule will be available in room E-112 beginning Monday, April 15th.  Stop by and pick it up.

Attention Seniors and senior parents, celebrate graduation with a personalized MRHS Senior Yard sign.  Pick up a flyer in the bookstore or go to the Mountain Ridge Pom facebook page to get an order form.  All orders are due by April 26th.  

The MRHS STUDENT Hiring event is set for April 24th.  During both lunches there will be tables set up.  Be prepared to meet employers and talk to them about jobs.

The event is open to ALL MRHS students.

Get your resume ready and come see what jobs are available.  Marriott Desert Ridge has LOTS of job offerings.  Discover is looking for students to work 30+ hour with pay over $11 per hour.  Marriott, Discover Card and McDonalds are confirmed at present.

Plan your summer online courses.  Registration window is April 1st – 26th.  First day of school is May 13th

Beach Volleyball against Deer Valley is at home tonight (senior night).  Come out and support your team!
