Date: April 12th 2019

Please congratulate Jacob Borkowski and Lorely Padilla for being selected as Citizens of the Month for March.  Will you be next?

Spring time means blood drive time!  Please consider donating if you are at least 16 years old, weight at least 110 pounds and are in good health.  You can schedule an appointment in Mr. Prey’s room C-209.  The blood drive is Thursday, April 25th.

Mountain Ridge's after school program in E-117 would like you to be a part of it.  Bring your friends and have fun relaxing indoors while you are waiting for a ride or for practice to start.  The program is Monday-Thursday from 2:30-3:45. See you there!

Attention students that park your vehicles on the residential streets surrounding Ridge!  The Glendale pavement management project will be taking place starting Monday, April 15th.  If your car is on the street that is going to be paved, it will be towed.  Please make alternative arrangements.  You can call project hotline at 602-532-6250.

If you had Mrs. Moya or Mrs. McBride for freshmen ELA, your time capsule will be available in room E-112 beginning Monday, April 15th.  Stop by and pick it up.

For those students who are currently in 10th, 11th and 12th grades that took the AZ Merit test last year and were proficient or highly proficient, you can pick up your cords in the Curriculum office before school, during both lunches and after school.  A list of the students who qualified for a cord is posted in canvas.

Seniors, if you took CTE courses during your time here at Ridge, you could be eligible for a CTE Honor Cord.  Please see your CTE teacher to fill out the rubric to find out if you qualify.  If you were in the Academy of Entrepreneurship, you can qualify for the NAFTracks honor cord as well.  See Mrs. Moore for details.

The MRHS STUDENT Hiring event is set for April 24th.  During both lunches there will be tables set up.  Be prepared to meet employers and talk to them about jobs.

The event is open to ALL MRHS students.  Get your resume ready and come see what jobs are available.  Marriott Desert Ridge has LOTS of job offerings.  Discover is looking for students to work 30+ hour with pay over $11 per hour.  Marriott, Discover Card and McDonalds are confirmed at present.

Attention seniors and senior parents, celebrate graduation with a personalized MRHS Senior Yard sign.  Pick up a flyer in the bookstore or go to the Mountain Ridge Pom facebook page to get an order form.  All orders are due by April 26th.

Varsity Baseball against Liberty is at home tonight.  Come out and support your team!
