Congratulations to our Mountain Ridge High School Choir for receiving a Gold award with Outstanding Musicianship Award at the Forum Festival in Anaheim, California! The choir sounds amazing and they invite you to their May 3rd Concert.

Any student interested in running for a class officer in student government needs to attend a mandatory workshop on Thursday, April 11th at 7:00 AM or 2:20 PM in E-218.  You cannot run for Stugo if you do not attend the workshop.  See Mr. Evans with questions.

The 2nd Annual MRHS Jazz band swing dance/dinner is on Friday, April 5th.  Tickets are $20.00 and are being sold through the MRHS bookstore.  Carrabba’s Italian Grill is catering the event!

The JW Marriott at Desert Ridge is offering a part-time summer job to one of our students interested in culinary.  Please see Mrs. Debbie Moore in the DECA student store or C-103 for details on this opportunity.  Thanks to the National Academy Foundation and the Academy of Entrepreneurship at Mountain Ridge.  Marketing and DECA, a clear path to your future!

The Society of Female Scholars Senior Send Off is tomorrow, Friday, April 5th in the auditorium.  Refreshments are at 6:30 PM and the ceremony is at 7:00 PM.  Please RSVP by emailing Mrs. Gordon or Ms. Britton if you have not filled out the Google form already.

If you are planning on attending summer school this year the registration window is April 1st through April 26th.  The First day of school will be May 13th.  In-Person finals will be June 25th or June 26th from 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM.  You can register at www.dvusd.org/online.

Congratulations to Baneen Alsilawi and Robert Addams for being selected as February Citizens of the Month!

Ridge has an after school program for students waiting for rides, waiting for practices or after school activities.  It is in room E-117 and will have tutoring, games and air conditioning.  This program starts at 2:30 PM and lasts until 3:45 PM.

Attention students going to the PROM.  This year, all attendees need to sign a Prom Dance Code of Conduct form.  It is on our website for you to download.  If you are bringing a non-Ridge guest, you will also need to download a guest form our website.  Guests will also need to turn in a Dance Code of Conduct form.  Forms need to be turned into the conduct office (before school, after school or during both lunches) before students can purchase a ticket.  Tickets WILL NOT be sold at the door.  All tickets need to be purchased before 3:00 PM on Friday, April 12th.  Please wait to buy your guest tickets until you have confirmed your guest has been approved.  Approval lists will be updated at lunch daily, and held at the bookstore.  All forms will be turned into the conduct office.  Remember, you MUST have your student ID in order to get in the door.  Guests need their ID as well.  Students who are in possession of anything related to vaping/tobacco at the dance will not be allowed into the dance and will be suspended off campus the following week.  Seniors who are off-campus suspended will lose the privilege to walk at graduation.  Thank you for following all school and district expectations.

MRHS Mentor Program:  Would you like to help future freshmen learn about our campus and community?  Would you like to use your leadership skills to help younger students transition to high school?  If so, please consider applying for this leadership role of responsibility!   Visit Mrs. Romero’s website or pick up a hard copy MRHS Mentor Application in room C219 by 3:00 p.m. TODAY!
