The 2nd Annual MRHS Jazz band swing dance/dinner is on Friday, April 5th. Tickets are $20.00 and are being sold through the MRHS bookstore. Carrabba’s Italian Grill is catering the event!
If you are planning on attending summer school this year the registration window is April 1st through April 26th. The First day of school will be May 13th. In-Person finals will be June 25th or June 26th from 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM. You can register at www.dvusd.org/online.
There is a DECA meeting on Thursday to turn in the DECA ballots, get an update on ICDC as well as a great coupon giveaway. DECA bios are due Thursday. Get an ACAPrep pass from the student store to attend the getting and get a coupon!
Ridge has an after school program for students waiting for rides, waiting for practices or after school activities. It is in room E-117 and will have tutoring, games and air conditioning. This program starts at 2:30 PM and lasts until 3:45 PM.
Those interested in trying out for Pom, please see Coach Lopez in the dance room for tryout packets. If you have not tried out for a team this year, then you will need to have a physical and athletic clearance completed by next week. Please see Ms. Wesson in the Athletic department for further information. There will be a pom tryout informative meeting for parents this Wednesday, March 27th at 5:00 PM in the dance room. A pom clinic will be held Tuesday and Wednesday of next week and the tryout day will be Friday April 5th.
The JW Marriott at Desert Ridge is offering a part-time summer job to one or our students interested in culinary. Looking for a summer internship? Valley Metro has one. The application workshop is on Thursday, March 28th so get working on this now! Current high school sophomores and juniors interested in Engineering, Architecture, City Planning and/or Transit should apply for the 8-week summer program. A $1000.00 unrestricted stipend is awarded to each participant at the end of the program. Applications are due no later than April 3rd. Varsity/JV girls tennis against Desert Mountain is at home today. Come out and support your team!
Great job varsity girls tennis as they defeated rival O'Connor by a sounding 6-3 score. Winning at both singles & doubles were Neha Balamurugan, Emma Troyer, Alexis Messerly & Roshni Patel. Season record now stands at 5-2. Tonight, Ridge hosts undefeated, state top ranked Desert Mountain.
