There is a mandatory player and parent meeting for football on Tuesday, March 5th at 7:00 PM in the Cafeteria.  If you are interested in playing spring football, you and a parent or guardian must attend this meeting.

Congrats to our Band and Orchestra on their performances at the Area Concert Festival at Desert Mountain high school last week.  Our Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Winds and Symphonic Band received Superior with Distinction ratings and our Orchestra received a Superior!

Our winter guard teams traveled to Desert Vista High School this past weekend where over 50 guards from across the state competed.  We are proud to announce that our JV team was able to capture 2nd place and our Varsity finished in first again, taking a staggering 13 point lead over their competitor.  Next week both teams will compete at Mesquite High School in Regional Competition with groups from Arizona, California, Nevada and Utah.  Good skills to all involved!

The Library Media Center will be closed today and March 8th for testing.

Great effort and determination by the girls varsity tennis team contributed to a 7 – 2 victory on the road at San Luis Friday evening.  Winning at both singles and doubles included Neha Balamurugan, Emma Troyer, Alexis Messerly and Sai Konatam.  Also, winning at singles was freshman Ashni Patel.  JV’s also defeated San Luis 8 – 1.

Juniors and Seniors taking the Civics Exam on Friday, March 8th, please bring your AcaPrep pass on Thursday, March 7th for review session.

Seniors, your cap and gown pictures are now available in the Bookstore.  Stop by and pick them up before school, during lunches and after school.

Any Seniors interested in auditioning for the Main Graduation Speech, auditions will be held March 6th in the lecture hall after school.  A signup sheet is posted outside Room E-218.  You must sign up to audition.

Attention Juniors, Counselors are offering various workshops in March during AcaPreps to help you plan for after high school.  The first two will be on March 5th.  You can choose between Military Pathways and University Planning.  Come to the Counseling office to get a pass to attend.  Don’t miss this opportunity!

Interested in playing basketball?  The boys basketball open gyms begin TODAY at 2:30 PM.  The camp work outs and games are for all skill levels ranging from beginning to advanced.  The fee is $60.00 and lasts until May.  Registration forms are at the bookstore.  Sign up today!

If you were on the list to receive a Renaissance Cord and did not pick it up during distribution, please come by the office before school, during lunches or afterschool to pick up your cord.

Community Information Night #4 is March 13th at 6:00 PM in the lecture hall.  Join us in learning to be aware, to prepare and to care for our community.

National Honor Society Invitations – It’s that time, again!  Invitations for National Honor Society are being delivered.  If you are a Sophomore or Junior with a GPA over 3.8 and are not yet a member, look out for your invitation.  If you don’t receive one and you meet the criteria, come see Mrs. Santschi in room E209.

Applications for the Maricopa Grant/Tuition Assistance are now available.  Students need to apply by May 31, 2019 to be considered for tuition assistance for the dual enrollment classes that they plan on taking in the 2019-2020 school year.  Students must reapply for the Maricopa Grant each school year.  Please remind students to apply now for Tuition Assistance as funds are limited and are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. (Eligibility is required).  Students may refer to our Tuition Assistance/Maricopa Grant website for more information and to access the application.

Varsity Baseball is at home tonight against Boulder Creek.  Come out and support your team!
