Congratulations to Tej Patel for being selected as the MRHS representative for the HOBY Leadership Conference this summer. Also, congratulations to Bryce Bustamante for being the runner up.
Please come out and support our winter guard team today at Rubios on 59th Avenue north of the 101. The team has won two consecutive state championships the last two years! They are raising funds to offset expenses for the WGI Championships held in Dayton, Ohio in April. Please enjoy a great meal and support our awesome guard team who will earn 50% of the proceeds between 2:00 and 9:00 PM.
Tomorrow, December 6th NHS will have a guest speaker from Grand Canyon University Honors Department coming in to talk about their program. Meeting will be in the small auditorium at 7:00 AM and 2:15 PM.
They will serve donuts and pizza and there will be prizes! Also, remember to bring in items for the Adopt a Family and the Toy Drive! We will take donations through 11:00 AM Friday.
Ridge Madness is coming to Ridge on Thursday, December 6th starting at 5:00 PM. There will be food trucks, games, live music and then the madness starts in the gym around 6:30. Come out and support your winter teams and have a fun night.
Our Band and Orchestra are hosting a Santa Breakfast this Saturday, December 8th from 8 AM - Noon in the Mountain Ridge High School Cafeteria. Come out to eat Breakfast with Santa and to hear the wonderful musicians from the award winning Ridge Band and Orchestra playing Holiday favorites. Tickets are available for advance purchase, check the squareup link below! Adults are $7, Seniors (65+) and Children (under 12) are $4. On Thursday, December 6th during 1st period AcaPrep MRHS Mentors will host a study skills session with all freshmen students in preparation for finals. Please allow freshmen and mentors to attend the event. Freshmen teachers and those on prep will supervise the event. See you then!
Best Buddies will be having their Holiday fundraiser at Barros Pizza tonight from 5:00 – 9:00 PM at 67th Avenue and Beardsley. Hope to see you all there!
Best Buddies will be having their Holiday movie night at Harkin’s Norterra theater on Thursday, December 6th from 4:00 – 6:00 PM. Best Buddies, please make sure you register with Mrs. Plogman for attendance.
Wrestling has a Multi-Meet at home and Boys Soccer is also at home against Coper Canyon. Come out and support your teams!
Girls Basketball got the sweep last night against San Luis. The freshman won 41-7 and were led in scoring by Ali Roskelley with 8 points. The hustle award for the game goes to Hope Carney! The JV team won 46-9 and was led in scoring by Melody Gonzales with 11 and Maddie Morrison with 13 points. The Varsity team won 67-13 and was led in scoring by Jordan Kress with 14 and Sheana Khoshaba with 13 and freshman Kylie Dennis led the team in steals with 6. Great job ladies! Come out to their next home this Friday!
Mark your calendars, the 2nd annual Ridge Run 5K is taking place on February 2nd at 8:00 AM. Cost is $25.00 for adults and $20.00 for students.
