Congratulations to Mountain Ridge and all those that donated at the blood drive. We collected one hundred and twenty-six units of blood to be used at hospitals throughout the city. Thank you to all the staff, students and VICA members that helped make it such a big success.
Now, the moment you have all been waiting for! This year’s Project Hunger winner, and the winner of the 2018 Project Hunger St. Mary’s trophy is… Mountain Ridge High School with a grand total of 20,531 pounds and $4,000! Thank you to everyone for helping make this happen. Go Ridge!
The ASU representative will be on campus on Tuesday, December 4th during AcaPrep. This is a great chance to learn more about admission requirements, scholarships, housing and campus life at ASU. Get an AcaPrep pass from the Counseling office today!
Please come for dinner at Chipotle on 67th Avenue and the 101 on Monday, December 3rd from 5:00 to 9:00 PM. Let the cashier know you are supporting MRHS Soccer.
Mark your calendars, the 2nd annual Ridge Run 5K is taking place on February 2nd at 8:00 AM. Cost is $25.00 for adults and $20.00 for students. All proceeds benefit Mountain Ridge Athletics so invite your family and friends to join you. Are you ready to take a selfie with Santa? Gather your friends, family and your teammates and come have breakfast with Santa. Come in your ugly holiday sweater or pajamas and get some selfies together. Saturday, December 1st from 8:00 – 10:00 AM at Applebees at Arrowhead. Pancakes, bacon, a drink and time with Santa! Tickets are $8:00. You can get the from CTSO members like DECA or FBLA or come by the student store.
Did you know that it is not too late to join DECA! Now you know so come by the student store and we will sign you up!
There will be a brief softball meeting Monday, December 3rd at 2:20 PM at the Varsity softball field. If you are interested please plan to attend.
The girls basketball teams swept Copper Canyon last night. The freshman girls basketball team won by a score of 56-34. It was a great team effort offensively. The team was led in scoring by Ali Roskelley and Kat Olesen.
The JV girls basketball team had a great win with a score of 45-39. The girls battled all game long. They were led in scoring by Rayna Medina and Lujayn Shami.
The Varsity girls won by a score of 46-44 and the team was led in scoring by Katelyn Turner with 11 points.
Great job girls, come out an support the girls basketball teams as they take on Chandler at home tonight!
Girls basketball is at home tonight against Chandler. Freshman at 4:00 PM, JV at 5:30 PM and Varsity at 7:00 PM. Come out and support your teams.
