Please join us in congratulating Quinton “Q” Weaver who has been nominated as our November Rotary Student of the Month. Quinton was nominated by our Student Support Services department.
The MRHS Pride of the West is the 2018 Arizona Band and Orchestra Director's Association Division I Bronze Medalist! The Band finished 3rd at the State Marching Band Championships this weekend and took home top honors in the General Effect caption. Congratulations to our Band on their incredible achievement!
Any student interested in learning about Grand Canyon University should attend the AcaPrep presentation on Tuesday, November 27th. You will hear about admissions requirements, scholarships, campus life and so much more. Stop by the Counseling office to get your AcaPrep pass today.
A representative from the University of Alabama is coming to Mountain Ridge to present to students during AcaPrep on Tuesday, November 27th. Even if you are not sure you want to go out-of-state, come hear about what U of Alabama can offer for your academic future. Get an AcaPrep pass from the Counseling office today!
Attention Softball Players, there will be a brief softball meeting regarding Winter Workouts after school on Tuesday, November 20th at the softball field.
We have the results for the class competition for the food drive tallied. First place for total amount of bulk food goes to Mrs. Romero’s class winning a pizza party and 2nd place for bulk food was Mrs. Chisholm’s class who will also win pizza. The class with the most overall cans total was Mrs. King, her class will get a choice of donuts or cookies. The 2nd place for overall total was the Office Staff.
Congratulations to all those classes! We would like to thank everyone who donated money and food items, it was a great success; we were able to donate over 20,000 pounds. We will find out the winner overall in the state in the next week or so. Thanks again for helping out the St. Mary’s food bank and those that are less fortunate, Ridge Rocks!!!!!
A reminder for juniors and seniors that the representative from Avalon is hosting a Resume Writing workshop during AcaPrep on Tuesday, November 20th. This is a great chance to get tips and tricks for putting together a great resume. Get an AcaPrep pass from the Counseling office to attend!
Mark your calendars, the 2nd annual Ridge Run 5K is taking place on February 2nd at 8:00 AM. Cost is $25.00 for adults and $20.00 for students. All proceeds benefit Mountain Ridge Athletics so invite your family and friends to join you. Today is the last day to sign up for the blood drive. In order to donate you must make an appointment with Mr. Prey by the end of today in room C209. Donors a few things to remember, bring you ID, make sure you have eaten and that you are well hydrated. All teachers will have a donor list emailed to them that will serve as your pass to get out of class. See you in the Gym tomorrow.
Come hang out with others that love Disney as much as you! Join the Disney Appreciation club meeting Monday’s in E208 from 2:15 – 3:00 PM. We’ll watch movies, have Disney themed debates, trivia games and Disney themed community service opportunities. See you Monday’s in E208 at 2:15 PM.
Tennis camp will open for boys and girls starting November 27th. All tennis players interested in the camp can pick up a flyer to sign up at the bookstore or in Coach Singleton’s room C108.

Are you ready to take a selfie with Santa? Gather your friends, family and your teammates and come have breakfast with Santa. Come in your ugly holiday sweater or pajamas and get some selfies together. Saturday, December 1st from 8:00 – 10:00 AM at Applebees at Arrowhead. Pancakes, bacon and a drink and time with Santa! Tickets are $8.00. You can get them from CTSO members like DECA or FBLA or come by the student store. Happy Holidays!
